First is a old satin type Seymour Duncan version, second is the glossy type Warmoth stocks, then the African ebony available at LMI (Luthiers Mercantile International), "short, flat bottomed." Doesn't sound great but they are. I wish they would stock wood single coil rings! I polished the edges and drilled out the mounting holes to correspond with the screws so that there was no tension at the surface level since wood is a living thing in the sense it expands and contracts. The only tension is the downward pressure of the screws. Again, measure screws diameter and drill bit diameter then test on a scrap piece of wood to double check. No mistakes. With a Wilkinson/Gotoh 100N bridge, you need an F-Spaced bridge pickup as shown if you want the strings to align to the pole pieces of the pickup. Those in the vid happen to be Lollar Imperials. I think it takes them an extra day to do the F-Space, but then you know you got it right if you are putting a HB in a Strat or Tele. Guitar is an alder Warmoth Soloist, with roasted maple Warmoth neck with Evo frets and Lollar Imperials.
