The need for an infinitesimally small singularity for the Big Bang of the universe stems in large part, I think, from the sense that a hypothetical singularity would easier to defend from a naturalist perspective than would the instantaneous coming into being of the universe in a magnitude significantly beyond Planck time. It's like taking great pains to avoid acknowledging the Master Chef by explaining the existence of a rising loaf of bread by calculating the reverse of its rising rate back to a hypothetical singularity, and then incessantly theorizing about the nature of the singularity that never was.

William Lane Craig misunderstands the model. Hartle-Hawking split the wave function into two components. It's not that you have imaginary time "before" real time its that at some points on the model you can calculate only using the imaginary component. Hartle-Hawking reduce the real component (NOT the imaginary component) to the Friedman equations.

Hi Birdie, I really appreciate your uploads. Do you recall a video where WLC is answering his debate opponent's response re fine tuning. The opponent said that after the fact you can always say it's a low probability. And WLC had some response about opening a letter. It was in front of a classroom like setting. Do you remember who the other debaters were? Do you recall the clip? Many Thanks

WLC's god, like all gods is imaginary.

In this video, the man CLEARLY said that he agrees 100% with Stephen Hawkin's second model.
So what is the issue here?
And how does this "disprove" Hawkin's atheism?
Do explain.... -
Nicely done, and nice to see you back creating more excellent video!
