I can do 4 pieces per second. Seriously I have been playing for so long that I compared my speed to real Tetris Gods and I can almost keep up with them.

Tetris is hard because it gets progressively faster, and uses RNG, so you're bound to lose unless you spend lots of time playing

Like you said there is various types or variations of Tetris, Like myself i consider myself a decent Tetris player but without ghost blocks it takes me a second longer to figure out where the block is going to land.
I agree that solving mistakes in Tetris is something that is as if not more important than figuring out how to make back to back Tetris' but either way Tetris is so much fun.
