What's the fastest spaceship ever imagined?
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Sources and anticipated FAQ below! Q: Why isn’t [insert spacecraft name] included? A: My original list of spacecraft contained over twice the number that made it into the video. The main problem is finding out how fast these things are supposed to go. For example, I couldn’t find the speed of Fireball XL5 anywhere. Similarly, Babylon 5 proved difficult to find speed data for. If you find out a source for the speed of your preferred spacecraft, send me a link and I can incorporate it into the image file Q: I disagree with the speed you've put for [spacecraft name(s)] A: And probably someone will disagree with the speed you've determined. There is much disagreement about speeds, particularly in the Star Trek universe which is horribly inconsistent (even taking account for the separate TOS and TNG warp factor scales). Q: What's the "Spaceship" just before the light speed barrier meant to be? A: Ahh.. that, my friend, is from John Conway's Game of Life! I saw a video where a guy did the math on the Millennium Falcon and it came out to 25 thousand light years per day and Star Trek's fastest ship the Prometheus would take better than 34 years to go the same distance .
-
where does spaceball 1 fit in???
-
I've seen an other video that explain millenium falcon is more, more faster than the fastest star trek ship. Who's right ?
-
heart of gold has infinite speed
-
Damn, at the speed the enterprise travels it would have taken A LOT longer to reach any of their destinations in each episode.
-
usain bolt is obviously the fastest. we all know he wins.
-
In Star Wars, traveling from one point if their galaxy to another is not a big deal. Voyager at maximum warp would have taken 70 years. There is no way it faster that any thing in Star Wars.
-
I'm not really a big Dr Who fan but a vehicle that can arrive at it's destination before it actually leaves is pretty damn fast.
-
Voyager, 29 billion c...yeah, you're off by about SEVEN ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE, skippy.
-
NUL!
-
You forgot Tom's shuttlecraft.
-
#AlanKey86 bunch of scientiest solved that was star wars ships faster than star trek or opposite and it turned out that millenium falcon is faster than any st ship ... proven
-
wait shouldnt x wing be at the same position as the millenium falcon and star destroyer? they all use lightspeed
-
Die Angaben können nicht Korektsein, weil der X-Wing instande ist mit Lichtgeschwindigkeit zu fliegen!!!

No the fastest Spaceship are the Highliners from the Spacing Guild. They use the Holtzman Drive to fold space and thereby travel great distances across the universe instantaneously. They just think the Destination Point in a Blink and 2 Sec. later they arrived. Now thats fast!
Btw Star Wars Hyperspace is faster than Warp Speed from Star Trek. The Millenium Falcon alone can travel 25.000 Lightyears of Distance per Day. If the Voyager are capability to that speed they dont need 7 Years to fly back to Federation Space. -
well since open space has almost zero gravitational pull i dont think that terminal velocity would be a factor so wouldnt you be able to keep going without a limit
-
Star Wars hyperspace is actually a LOT faster than Star trek warp speed.
-
I thought the X-Wing had a hyper drive? How else would Skywalker have gotten to Dagobah?

i guess the "c" number below the vessels speed in mk/h is its speed in comparison to the speed of light... so how can voyager have 29000000000c when its made clear in the show, that it would take voyager roughly 70 years to get back to earth at maximum warp (warp 9.975). the milkyway is roughly 100000ly across and given even the most direct path back to erath... well, those number just dont add up...
