For developers. What I would like to see in this series of the game is:
1) realistic tactical display where you control your weapons and systems as you had in the first SG game. And also I would like to see realistically looking weapons mounted on the ships, for example if your ship is equipped with missiles, the missile launchers should look like they look on modern naval ships - missiles are inside the ship but on the ship surface you can see only lids of missile silos (like square slots), lid opens and missile launches with all the smoke and light effects - that would be great and so realistic...
2) 3d map - ability to travel in all directions, make a bubble space where you can go in any direction, real 3d space, not only 2d map with a bit of 3d freedom.
3) And get rid of all those hexagonal areas on the map... these hexagons are so boring already, they put it in all games today, it's really boring... Space is not hexagonal, it's continuous. -

Big patches, to be honest.
That being said, since I just bought the game, well, there's a need to find something that scratches the space navy itch. Guess I might have just found it. -

First point: economy ....the main money maker for players was always the capture and selling of enemy ships....I amassed 92 million doing that. From what I saw in the menus that seems to still be an option.
Second point: The missions given to you by the AI were often repetitive and boring so I hope they fix that. The missions were same thing different areas of space. -

really love the STO like shield mechanics, i hope they implement it in more future games!

Squares are of the four sided geometry while the honey comp shapes of the districts in the game are six sided. These shapes have a name but I have yet to finish my second year of pre-school. 🙅

This more or less reminds me alot of Freelancer...now that was a damn good game
