In physics, spacetime is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single interwoven continuum. The spacetime of our universe has historically been interpreted from a Euclidean space perspective, which regards space as consisting of three dimensions, and time as consisting of one dimension, the "fourth dimension". By combining space and time into a single manifold called Minkowski space, physicists have significantly simplified a large number of physical theories, as well as described in a more uniform way the workings of the universe at both the supergalactic and subatomic levels. Kip Stephen Thorne, (born June 1, 1940) is an American theoretical physicist, known for his contributions in gravitational physics and astrophysics. A longtime friend and colleague of Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan, he was the Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) until 20092 and is one of the world's leading experts on the astrophysical implications of Einstein's general theory of relativity. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spacetime https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space-time https://einstein.stanford.edu/content/relativity/q411.html https://www.quora.com/Can-someone-explain-the-time-space-continuum-in-simple-terms http://www.ws5.com/spacetime/ http://www.hawking.org.uk/space-and-time-warps.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTY1Kje0yLg
