What If The Sun Became A Black Hole? [1080p]
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Our Sun is too small a star to end its life as a black hole. But what would happen if the Sun were suddenly replaced with a black hole of the same mass? Contrary to popular belief, the Solar System would not be sucked in: a solar-mass black hole would exert no more gravitational pull than our Sun. As this computer simulation shows, the planets would actually continue on in their orbits as if nothing had happened. credit: ESA/Hubble (M. You guys are wrong. Everybody says, there would happen nothing. It's not true. Every material which has to be pressured in a smaller place because of its own fusion reactions, the gravity of it will be much higher than it was before. I dont know the exact word I need, but if you could understand this I would be happy, so if you push the metarial in half of the place than it was before, it will be times square in power of gravitation. Just think it over. You are on the Earth. What if it becomes a blackhole. We need to pressure it in a 2-3 cms place. It would suck you like shit and everything near it immediately. Other planets near it will be exposed to a higher gravitation power. You can make black holes by only 2 protons. Yes you can! Many people were scared about it as well, because Cern made some experiments to do it, but there is no way we will be fucked They are too small to live and the protons have the same positive pole so they cant be sticked together. But if they could, everybody would die like some seconds after the action. Please look it up. I am out. Bye ;)

This was really accurate, why do people dislike, the answer is nothing will happen except earth would either fry to death or freeze to death
-
eat shit and die
-
Don't happen nothing. The planets will follow the black hole gravity force like was with the sun. BUT the Earth will freeze
-
Correct. the mass is technically still the same so all planets will still obit as usual. just that we would be long gone from freezing temperatures.
-
I was expecting more than just that
-
yeah.. nothing change.. except temperature and brightness.. so, maybe human will extinct too.. lel

If sun ever becomes a black hole, it will swallow everything! OMG! OMG! .We will be crushed within minutes. Spaghetti sauce :(.
-
Hmmm blackhole of same mass.... Same gravity... Everything would be void-cold... But still is understandable...
Everyone, the description said a blackhole THE SAME MASS as the sun, your statements may be true if it was replaced by some random blackhole with a different mass...
Plus, if our "blackhole-sun" were to be sucked in by an insanely-distant super massive blackhole, the entire galaxy would also be consumed... But as you may not know, our Supermassive Blackhole is actually too-weak to keep our galaxy together, but is (theoretically) helped by "Dark Matter" :) -
Actually every planet would change course and properly be pulled into the black hole a black holes gravitational pull is millions of times stronger than any star in the universe.
-
actually, our solar system is at the outer reaches of the galaxy, so, even if the sun would turn into a black hole (which it wouldn't) We'd be too far away from the super massive black hole for it to suck it in. In fact, there are numerous amounts of renegade black holes in our galaxy right now, from the outer reaches, to the center. They're everywhere. One could even come in and destroy out own solar system.

a black hole in a galaxy?wtf!the black hole from our sun will still get sucked in since our galaxy's black hole is supermassive and the one from the sun is just small we would still be sucked in by the supermassive blackhole

All you people disliking this don't know shit about science. Download Universe Sandbox and try it yourself if you don't believe it.
