Wallace Thornhill on The Electric Universe - May 2, 2015

Wallace Thornhill returns to the show to talk with us about The Electric Universe. We discuss some of the new scientific discoveries and how they relate, their upcoming EU conference in June, the history of the solar system, the electic sun, and how all this relates to consciousness. Also, we lost connection a couple times near the end. I edited out those parts, but the edit isn't perfect, so if it seems things don't flow right a couple of times, that is why. Wallace Thornhill graduated in Physics at Melbourne University in 1964 and began postgraduate studies with Prof. Victor Hopper’s upper atmosphere research group. Before entering university, he had been inspired by Immanuel Velikovsky through his controversial best-selling book, Worlds in Collision. Wal experienced first-hand the indifference and sometimes hostility toward a radical challenge to mainstream science. He realized there is no career for a heretic in academia. Wal worked for 11 years with IBM Australia. The later years were spent in the prestigious IBM Systems Development Institute in Canberra, working on the first computer graphics system in Australia. He was the technical support for the computing facilities in the Research Schools at the Australian National University, which gave him excellent access to libraries and scientists there. Wal was initially heavily influenced by the then revolutionary ideas of Immanuel Velikovsky of Princeton. Velikovsky proposed that mankind had been devastated in the past by cosmological events . Wal took these ideas and with his deep knowledge of astronomy and, plasma physics began his own questioning of scientific dogma. Paramount was the place of electro magnetism, as distinct from gravity, in the formation of the universe . This slowly but surely led to his and other colleagues (such as David Talbot, Donald Scott, and Anthony Peratt) questioning such ingrained theories as the big bang, black holes and Einstein’s theory of relativity. This group in particular contend that many scientific “proofs “are theory laden or mathematically concocted. An insistence on empirical data from observations and experiments gives their work true integrity. Inertia, that would be my first question. How would any living thing on earth survive the inertia of the planets spin so frequently being interrupted as its pushed and pulled around and behind Saturn until it eventually ends up in the orbit we are in now.. SOMEONE PLEASE ASK THIS GUY A QUESTION WORTH ASKING. Piss weak interview

the electric sacring comes from different time in universe creation the universe started at absalotue zero all noble gases held in liquid stasis at sightest increasw tempratue became a theramal dymanic reaction the chaotic waters of creation this movement and liquid ment the iniverse when through a stage with high electric discharge the evedence of this is every where in space

I find Wal Thornhill a great thinker and an exceptional communicator of the first degree. His EU team and his TB cohorts provide an easier and simpler model of the universe than the highly mathematical model that masquerades as fact. Thanks for the upload..

He is such a liar. He uses fringe science to back up his even fringier claims.
And then makes dumb sweeping statements like " if it looks like a rock, then that should be your first assessment" Well the gravity indicates it's porous and as there are many examples of porous materials that are rock shaped on earth why would you throw out a perfectly good functioning model of gravity. Then he uses an astrobiology statement to back up the bs proto saturn claim by saying "science has confirmed life around a brown dwarf would thrive" Yeah I've heard astrobiologists say this in debates, but only a few agree and it's only an opinion, there are no other life forms off the earth as far as we know so it's all guesswork. -
Since we still have not found the secret of gravity--WT mentions this---one assumes this is what all our efforts at the cyclotrons and magnetrons is about. Perhaps creating a 'wall' between the electrons and ions M&D describe is the current path of investigation.

As most people following this catastrophic history of the solar system know this is a variation of the theory of Milton/DeGrazie Solaria Binaria. The major problem with both is that altho M&D's theory proposed a definite time line, it is impossible to have a single fact that can be used to support the theory. This is why WT has used Saturn and the tilt of Earth and Mars as it is a single connected fact. In the Solaria Binaria theory the authors propose that the original large body they term proto Uranus electrically connected to our sun and produced all the bodies of the solar system.

Here is something to think about, the fact that electricity even exists has never even been explained by science,I have listened to this interview with Wal 3 times and I learn something new every time I hear it, these guys throw Wal some tough curves and sliders and he knocks everyone of them right out of the park, he explains things so I can clearly understand and this whole thing is awesome! I can't get enough. Thank you Wallace Thornhill, you have a new huge fan. The standard model says In the beginning there was nothing, then nothing exploded and nothing is expanding and if there is something they can't explain they simply use words like dark, black or singularity. This electric universe makes so much sense to me it knocks all that Einstein crap that nobody even understands right out of the water. WOW! I just prey the Sun never gets pinched off, that is kinda scary.

There's an obvious philosophical direction in part of the EU group that's as striking as the rigidities in main stream astronomy/cosmology. And that is the extension from the areas of astronomy to totally different disciplines. It also encompasses a religious like fervor that demands their claims and assertions be treated as reality. You can find many people who are not merely dissatisfied with the big bang model but are thoroughly disgusted with the entrenched orthodoxies that keep failed concepts afloat while marginalizing alternatives. They discover the work of Birkeland, Alfven, Arp and many others who were the pioneers and set the foundation for new knowledge in astronomical and cosmological understanding. They also learn of the barriers those pioneers were subjected to, which shouldn't be described with such frivolous terms as 'group think' but from the behavior of institutional structures, a behavior that is common in all domains. As so many can attest.Wal Thornhill can be a charming point person for the EU group, but he's quite often its biggest enemy. His preaching of an electrical model for everything surpasses even orthodox cosmology's quest for that single force, that single equation. His insistence that there can be no other physics that can effect the surface environment of the earth and its biosphere is almost breathtaking, and beyond objective science in its thinking. He passes off as obvious that gravitation must far and away exceed the speed of light for the solar system to maintain its dynamic stability. Now there's something for analysis. Does he have any that would validate his claim? Or is it just another assertion? Having potentially valid ideas is not the same as making dogmatic proclamations about history and reality.

To skeptics... the EU theory is not complete, just as the Standard Model is not. There are questions it does not answer, and questions the EU Theory does not. Saying that he 'gets to play god of the gaps' is fundamentally flawed. This is an interview, a friendly one. If you want refutations of criticisms of the EU theory, check out his website, or a number of others. They are almost all there, and you can decide if you agree with his counter arguments or not. This sort of comment reminds me of people asking someone who believes that the current political system is broken "Well what would you replace it with then?" How on earth is anyone supposed to produce a complete and perfect picture of a new theory with that kind of scope, in response to a single question, from one person, who may or may not care about the answer anyway? Do the research please, and then come back. And remember, in science, 'I dont know' is supposed to be an acceptable answer.

+Where Did the Road Go? Radio I actually thought your interview was quite informative and interesting. Some of the basic concepts I was aware of, but was not aware of some of the details associated with it - which Wal elaborated on. I do think your intro is cheesy though. =) Just my opinion.

I remember the end of the world, it's imprinted in our collective electrical subconscious minds.

Seems some people feel that this interview was not up to par. Personally, we were pretty happy with this. You have to keep in mind that this interview was aimed at people NOT overly familiar with the EU theory. After talking about to people for many years, I have learned where the objections take place regarding this theory and tried to ask questions from that angle. This was meant to garner a basic idea of how the EU works, from a variety of perspectives. I am well aware Wallace goes by Wal, but I felt in a professional environment, using his full name was more respectful. He had no problem with this.

Mr Thornhill goes by ‘Wal’, not Wallace. One wonders if the interviewer is actually familiar with The EU, The Thunderbolts Project.
