Subscribe now to ScienceNET! Sean Carroll is amazingly interesting in this Mortal Kombat inspired compilation covering many phenomena in cosmology and physics. Sean Carroll received his PhD in astronomy and astrophysics at Harvard University in 1993 and is now physics professor at the California Institute of Technology. A cool fact about Sean Carroll is that he uses the same desk that Richard Feynman used when he taught at Caltech.

But, gravity does not exist except in mathematical equations. The sun is not pulling the earth, because we haven't seen any human taken by pull of the sun. Had the sun been pulling the earth by its "gravity" then humans / objects on the surface of the earth would have gone to the sun by now, because it would be easy for the sun to take easier ones instead of pulling the whole earth.
By the way do these guys see the stationary and flat earth, right now. What matter makes them believe in sphere spinning earth?
How come galaxies exist while every thing visible is orbiting the earth?
So the earth was created by God and the earth is flat, stationary and center of the universe.

So, a supernatural creator is not required to explain the origin of the universe. I can get on board with that.

I don't understand why these so called 'intellects' have to try make things so much more complicated than things have to be. Qhy wood you believe this when the true answer to the origin of he world was given to us so long ago than our Lord. Even if these theories (literally just ideas which is why they are called theories) what came before the big bang? God off course. I feel sorry for all those without faith. What can fill your heart with joy if not the word of God? Anyway God bless you faithful ones and to those who don't believe I pray that you find the truth.

The best theory for the origin of the universe is Fred the Universe farting pixie -- obviously.

When someone says, "The only possible explanation is (something that we cannot explain with independently verifiable evidence)." then that's a big red flag that there may be other explanations that haven't yet been thought of.
