I've achieved new tech in this field and I'll sell it to you for $1billion and a cheeseburger!

I don't fully understand the physics of what these men were attempting, but its apparent to me that crass stubborn beauracracy has limited the potential of mankind; what-could-have-been space travel has been consigned to head-in-the-sand mentality; if MICROSOFT had been under the same attack we mite still be looking at spools of tape spinning in pop machine sized cages instead of enjoying convenient compact LAPTOPS!

I still don't understand the engine-on-wingtip design, a layout tested and rejected decades ago by U.S. and other aircraft designers.
While it LOOKS so cool, the problem with having the engines way out there is that the slightest difference in thrust creates large yaw issues, and a single engine failure can prove disastrous. Having all that thrust force passing through the wing structure to support the fuselage and all that fuel payload is not ideal either, as it requires stronger (meaning heavier) wings. They should move the engines further inboard. -
Heat exchangers work both ways hot to cold in this case, but how about cold to hot?

This is the UK genius at it's finest. It used to be like this before. There was an era when the UK was superior to the USA in invention and technological capability. Since the USA retards are thinking only about weaponizing space, using those ridiculous Scramjets & Ramjets, let's hope that the UK be the pioneer in commercial and civilian one stage ships to the earth's orbit and so help all Mankind (instead of only the Military retards!) achieve the dream of cheaper flights into space. Access to space for everybody, for every citizen of the planet and not only for the NASA or military elites. Brilliant. Keep it up.

Old ideas, that just won't work. Any differential engine power would cause the Skylon to tear itself apart or loose control just like the B58 when it had engine problems. Secondly, compression of the air inside the chamber would cause water vapor to freeze on the cooling system, blocking it from working. Third, the airflow around the cooling pipes would be blocked as supersonic speeds so the design would freeze up anyway and no air would flow to the engine. Fourth, rockets get into space by ejection of mass, not just engine thrust. The X33 and other air breathing designs could not get into space without booster rockets because they simply did not eject enough mass. This design just simply won't go fast enough.

here comes that accent take it from a englaish mans

Has England ever been visionary? Merchant above all, violent past yes. Creative? A380 is a joint venture, English-French train is not entirely British creative work. You should have "financed German rocketeers" if you planned a creative England.

So typical that DOD classified it.
-
how could it land? This would have a 2:1 (negative) glide ratio.
-
It would be so cool if they can do it.

This is rocket science to me.

How are we ever going to get anywhere with the nonsense of government and the politicians. government and politicians need to be kept out of these brilliant ideas. they shouldnt be able to create pointless stress on these developers. pointless nonsense. if we are ever going to go to space we need to invent invent invent. having politicians get involved and slowing down progress with there pointless restrictions is a waste of everyones time bloody idiots. what was the point in making the engines top secret. could have destroyed the invention all together. these guys are brilliant. this is a very worthy invention and really worth taking notice of.

there are so many brilliant people with amazing ideas. destroyed by politicians who only care about destroying the planet we live on. britain today is a joke. what a fuck up. we should have backed this space program all the way. politicians need to stop there dirty tricks manipulating the world and blackmailing and do something honorable this would have been a worthy goal for all of mankind. but politicians have NO VISION. snobby wankers have there heads stuck up somebodys arsehole 24 hours a day. fucking wankers. look at how much money they waste. on what. who knows what shit they spend money on but none of it is honorable. government wankers.!!! havnt got a clue.
