The Sun Never Sets in This Space Station View | NASA ISS Science Full HD Video
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Visit my website at http://www.junglejoel.com - the space station makes one complete 90 minute trip around the Earth, with the sun never setting. This can occur when the station's orbit tracks ride along the terminator line (the line that separates day and night). Please rate and comment, thanks! Credit: NASA JSC

The Sun describes a circle throughout the video because the Earth wobbles on its axis (precession). Took me a minute to work that out.
-
can somebody please share me a link of a picture or video of the sun directly over or at least kind of above the iss. I've only seen below and in the distance although on ground it passes over us. any link on the whole entire internet would be great.

hey how do they get the solar panels and earth to focus at the same time? isn't that impossible?
-
why is the sun not red/orange???
-
why does the sun appear to be moving?
-
Why do you never see mercury or Venus?
-
The sun is smaller than earth
-
refraction (Y) , eg. through solar panels of satellite

When I read some of the questions and some of the answers, I despair at the large amount of ignorance expressed. We're doomed.
-
well, the yare saying u cant see the sun from space,, so,, somehting is not right, we can see..
-
I really don't think that ISS is actually in altitude of approximately 220 miles/350 kil, for it can not sustains the harsh temperatures out there. Noone or nothing can go through the Van Allen Radiation Belt. However, this video just prove the flat earth, the sun can be seen 24/7 above the clouds

to add extreme gravitational forces can manipulate the perception of and how we experience reality opposed to those on a normal setting of gravitational force. 1hr for me near a blackhole could be decades on earth though not proven. from our understanding of the laws of relativity and through careful observation and testing those are the laws that we must basically follow. one reason I know we met space is how we leave the earth with rockets. first is launch builds acceleration hits m1 then has first stage separation. boosters ignite in upper atmosphere from stage 2 until m2 stage 2 separation. final boost ignition. zero g space final outcome then synchronize orbit and proceed mission

the only reason we see the sun move too is because iss is positioned in orbit to constantly revolve around earth the camera on iss is only making the sun appear like its moving due to the fact that the camera on iss which is orbiting earth which is orbiting the sun. the sun moves to yes but over time the earth which we live on and or near we experience time relative to that either way my point is the sun only looks like it is moving because in actually the camera on the space station is moving around the earth in its 1.5 to 2 hr orbit unless change of orbiting course authorized by nasa to be redirected.

interesting and it contradicts another poster who commented on another thread that the sun and stars are not visible in outer space but only are visible when their light hits a material object
-
this is fake you can only see light from the sun behind an atmosphere that being said the moon has no atmosphere so conclusion is that there is something realy wrong
-
Why must they edit the photos to make the sun look yellow-orange?
-
it's said you can not see the sun or stars when in outer space. so why can we see it here? is it all fake?
-
Is it earth moving or the Space Station?
-
Something's not adding up here
-
You can't see a source of light from space in the visible light spectrum stars/sun are invisible in a way. Of course you'd go blind if you looked towards it but there would be no yellow orb that's why there's no stars in space walk videos
