Since we know that time is not a universal constant, what is? On this week’s Space Time, Matt defines causal order and explains how even though time may look different to multiple observers, it is the one concrete reality that we can all agree on. In regards to C, we've established that movement and acceleration, mostly divergent or parallel, cause time dialation to affect 2 objects rather than change the speed C. Yet, how would a head-on pass by resolve for an observer moving at C?
To elaborate:
2 photons pass eachother from opposing sides of a given space. As one passes by the other, from their own inertial frame of reference, they would perceive the other photon moving at 2C (or so our sub-luminal logic would imply). Yet as things moving at C do not experience time at all, how does that ever resolve? And would it be the same for something moving just under C?
Would space just seem to compress to the point where the other moves at C through it's seemingly shorter path? -
Here is where I have trouble - You talk about time arising because of the interactions of the elementary particles (bound energy) within an atom, which together produce a conglomerate effect. Except - interaction and change require time to exist. If time didn't exist, there could be no change. Saying that time exists because of the interactions/change feels circular to me. Hey, maybe that is just the way it is, once we get to the most fundamental properties its all circular?

every video i watch leaves me with more questions than answers

how would 2 entaggled particles react if one of them is in a moving reference, is it posible?

Space, time, and matter are all examples of “three-in-ones” in nature. Perhaps God created them in this fashion to declare His own triune nature.
Many people don’t think about God creating empty space, but He did! Space is not “nothing”; it is something, just as much as clouds and trees are something. It had a beginning and was therefore created by God (John 1:3).
If space were really nothing, we would not be able to measure it. When we measure the volume of an “empty” room, we really measuring the amount of space within it.
Space has properties. For example, it has three dimensions. This means that I can move through space in three independent ways (up and down, left and right, forward and backward). Any other movement is some combination of these three directions. Perhaps God made space three dimensional to remind us of His triune nature. God is three (in persons), and yet one (in nature). Similarly, space is three (in dimensions) and one (in nature).
Space is not nothingness. It has three dimensions—width, length, and height. When an object moves, it moves through these three dimensions of space.
God created time, too. Time had a beginning (Genesis 1:1), and therefore requires a Creator. Time has only one dimension, yet we perceive time in three divisions: past, present, and future. So time, like space, is a sort of three-in-one, and reminds us of God’s triune nature. Although we have freedom of movement in space, we can move only forward in time; we remember the past, experience the present, and anticipate the future. Since God alone is beyond time, only God can know the future. We can certainly make reasonable predictions about the future in some cases, but only God infallibly predicts specific future events. Isaiah 46:9–10 tells us that no one else is like God who alone declares the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things which have not yet been done.
Past, present, and future are the three divisions of time. Time binds humans in the present with only memories of the past and hope of the future. Only God is outside time. He is eternal, seeing past, present, and future.
Ordinary matter is comprised of atoms. Amazingly, atoms also have a three-in-one nature. They are comprised of three types of particles—protons, neutrons, and electrons (except hydrogen, which normally does not have neutrons). Protons and neutrons also are each comprised of three smaller particles called quarks. It is interesting that some people reject the trinity on principle, while simultaneously accepting the many three-in-one examples we see in nature. Perhaps this is one reason why God says, “. . . being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:18–20).
Even atomic particles speak of God’s triune nature. All atoms, except for hydrogen, are composed of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
The Bible records that, in the beginning (time), God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter). So the universe itself is a three-in-one of sorts, thereby reflecting its Maker. The logical, orderly way the universe behaves is also a reflection of the One who made it and sustains it by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). -

Has much thought gone into fostering the intuition for the Universe in children? Seems like developmental cognitive scientists could work with educators to test optimal ways of presenting concepts that run contrary to our perceptual intuition. Perhaps children would have an easier time than adult learners with a lot of fundamental concepts. Right now we're conceptually breaking minds with "solar system" models of the atom. Is this really necessary because its seems quite difficult to get older minds to give up what not only seems intuitive (e.g. matter is made of balls of stuff), but has become neurologically embedded in such a way that the connections to other concepts about the world add up to a "big wrong picture" that's hard to replace.

ok I get time dilation and I get the idea of warp drive moving space not mass and mass simply going along for the ride. What about ZPE would the ZPE in the area of space being warped containing mass there by reducing the maximum velocity of that warped space to under C ? The reason I ask E=MC/2 ZPE while small is still E and there by has Mass due to the warping it is now experiencing causing change in its velocity. This would give the area of warped space Mass with or with out a star ship riding the wave would it not ?
Further if you tie by means of warped space a object of mass " A Star ship" and that mass is warping that area of space due to gravity the whole thing would have to collapse under the examples of this video showing the smaller parts being connected to a larger thing ? Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the box so I assume I'm missing something here other wise this means FTL under the Alcubierre drive can not happen. The " Warp bubble" would always be held to under C -
Did the Big Bang create matter or space

What does he mean by " the causal order looks the same to everyone' ? Does this just mean the order in which two events happen? Isn't it also possible for two observers to disagree on the order of events? (as described in a previous video Are Space and Time An Illusion? | Space Time | PBS Digital Studios)

I sit on my computer for hours just watching these types of videos. really great job at explaining all this
-
I don't know if it's right but wouldn't it take just 5 dimensions to describe everything. X,Y,Z,Time and the things absolute to each other. Correct me if I'm wrong?

physicists contemplating the origin of the universe makes me laugh. it is like trying to figure out how to bake a cake, but not having any idea what an oven, flour or an egg is.
-
If time is an emergent property, does it make sense to treat it as quantized, and speak of a minimum plank-time?
-
An equation is only a statement connects the cause and the effect. As such, it will never be able to tell us the true nature of anything.

could you send messages using the particle entaglement?

in the twin paradox ,what if the astronaut move with constant velocity and then enter a worm hole whose other end lies on earth
and the wormhole does not make transfer through time??? -
Are we not currently moving at the speed of light?
