We are stuck in the ways of grief, hate, jealousy, immaturity, self loathing, and war. Yet we have those who yes, being few, can override these "URGES" which are nothing more than selfishness on the individuals part. Most of the worlds problems could be solved with 1 leading idea. The idea of "CRITICAL THINKING" I'm not talking about distrust in others or their information, but rather taking a step back at all times to consider all variables. Action is after all our physical expression ultimately determined by our ability to think critically on a topic or situation. I feel that most of us fail at the thinking stage and we act incorrectly. Our minds are so clouded with selfishness, and ignorance. Soldiers need to question more, CEO's need to have more compassion, and the working man needs to have more patience. We all need more patience, and willpower. I dunno...
All I know is that at the young age of 22 I am already getting tired with the state of our societies across the nations of the world. Sometimes I go to bed at night with not an ounce of faith in our current world and i fall low. Or peoples ability to control themselves, but then there are times where I am emboldened. When I see a younger person in the middle of a mass of people who flicker so brightly with his or her actions. It gives me hope that we can rid ourselves of our willful ignorance. I would give all that I have or happily take a bullet in the brain, if it meant that world peace and self realization could be attained. -
The universe is us. We have that power! That power is god. God is the spark of it all. God is not jesus. God is god. He is everything, we are apart of him.

i have always asked myself how after the big bang all the elements formed... can somebody explain me how this was observed? how can you cook some other element from hydrogen? how these situations of extreme temperatures and pressure were there?

Brilliant !

The problem I have with religion is that everyone seems to be in such as rush to please a man, by any means necessary, that they have never met. But, the problem is that no matter which way you look at it, you'll never have one without the other, no exceptions.
-
How can anyone not find happiness and peace after watching this video?
-
Thank you, Mr. Tyson for your eloquent explanation of us all being one. Perhaps we'll meet again somewhen.
-
Man, science itself has more magic mystique than religion itself
-
Still one of my favorite videos... :')

HUMAN BEINGS. whose atoms came from those stars. so much more beautiful and profound than any of the shit found in any of the holy books of the world.
