Enable on. Copy that E.L. Com. All systems are go for entry, decent, and landing. Stand by. Stand by. ASTRONAUT: We are looking fine, flight. Data is good. NARRATOR: At the dawn of the 21st Century, space agencies in Europe and America began making plans to land the first humans on Mars. But manned missions to the red planet have been proposed before. For some, Mars holds the answers to mankind’s future in space. Others say Mars is too far, too dangerous and too expensive for humans to explore. And in a world torn by troubles, some say there is no need or will for mankind to reach into space anymore. More than 30 years after the last Apollo astronaut walked on the moon, the American-manned space program seems to have lost its way, unable to reach beyond even low-earth orbit. DR. ROBERT ZUBRIN: We’ve got a problem, NASA has been literally going around in circles with the space program for the past 30 years. NARRATOR: Astronautically engineer, Dr. Robert Zubrin, has been arguing for years that sending humans to Mars is the mission the space program needs. ZUBRIN: It’s time that we set goals for NASA that were worthy of the risks of the human space flight. Mars is the next logical step in our space program image. It’s the challenge that’s been staring us in the face for the past 30 years. It’s the planet that’s most like the earth, it’s the planet that has on it the resources needed to support life and therefore some day technological civilization. It’s the planet that will provide us with the answer as to whether life is prevalent in the universe or exclusive to the earth. And it’s the planet that will give us the critical tests as to whether humanity, can breakout out of the planet of our birth and become a space-faring species. NARRATOR: In the early 1990s, Zubrin was the head of the Mars Direct program at Martin Marietta Astronautics. His team developed a mission to Mars that could be done at the fraction of Nasa’s projected costs. Using only existing technology Zubrin argues that the first steps on Martian soil could be made within 10 years. ZUBRIN: There is absolutely nothing in this that is beyond our technology. DR. EDWARD WEILER: We are not ready to send humans to Mars right now. We don’t know how to keep them alive. There are people out there who say we can go to Mars tomorrow. One of my requirements, one of NASA’s requirements is that if we send humans to Mars we bring them back alive. NARRATOR: For the past 15-years Zubrin and his colleagues have waged a campaign to convince society and the political class that humans on Mars should be the goal for NASA now. This is the story of our cold neighboring planet and the debate over whether man’s fate it tied to the red world. It’s the story of an engineer’s journey - and the battle of ideas over which direction in space will truly benefit mankind. ZUBRIN: We’re at a crossroads today. We either muster the courage to go or we risk the possibility of stagnation and decay. http://www.radiusproductions.com

More and More Indians are becoming American Citizens. Soon Indians will be the future Americans. Check Google....
If NASA doesnt do these space programs now I am sure within a few years Indians will do it.
And another possibility is the Chinese or Japanese will do it even before that.
The reason is Americans are becoming lazier and lazier to study Science. All the scholarships in the USA are collected mostly by the South Asians because their community and their family makes them learn Science. They study science even when they don't have enough good teachers or good labs and finally because of their hard work they end up getting American Scholarships. While the American students pursue their career after dating girls and taking adventure holidays. -
There are plenty unoccupy land here on planet earth. why waste billion and risk to mars.

Humans will never live on Mars, humans just bally get long on earth beside World War 3 will kill NASA missions to Mars and even going to the Moon, We have evil democratic nut cases that want to rule and want to remain in power and they must be stop from working their wicked ass's back into our gov't systems and Obama and many more need to b kicked out of gov't never to return. the asshole Obama missing up things like communist would to it difficult for Trump to cleans up after Obama. The FBI CIA NSA DHS need a over haul. GAME OVER OBAMA , HILARY, BUSH'S AND FOR THOSE WHO THINK THY RULE THE EARTH. TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR THE WICKED AND IT ALL WILL GO UP IN SMOKE ....

Au lieu d'envisager d'aller saloper et polluer de leur cupide vandalisme la planète Mars, les hommes feraient mieux de balayer devant leur porte et remettre en état notre bonne planète Terre trop gangrenée par l' activité humaine....

Make Mars great again.

Send the Muslims there. Problem solved.
-
this is all shit, they should also think about the climate on mars, after the erv land how can they assure it will not be destroyed by a sand storm

Pretty fanciful stuff. That Zubrin fellow seems to be more of a used car salesman than scientist.

Traveling to Mars is not only a question of intension and financing or technical capacity, it has to do with the development of human consciousness, we can not go to colonize another planet and make it habitable if we are not even able to maintain a sustainable eco-life balance In the land that is the one we currently inhabit. We exterminate the environment surrounding animal and plant life, how will we be able to recreate a land on another planet? Mars is clearly a dead planet on its surface, thinned by an impact that left on its surface the entrainment of a celestial body that was practically rolled over much of its surface. It does not have a protective layer that covers some life against solar radiation or cosmic rays, its surface is most likely contaminated by the cosmic weather, how can we try to get terrestrial plants to collect nutrients from that surface? Worse still, as in the case of the colonization of America, the Europeans found Indians, what we will do if we find a civilization on Mars that could live below the surface, we would be invading them, and if they were more advanced than we would be the result. Do we humans have the right to take possession of another planet? What laws or regulations would be taken into account? All that effort and investment raised to travel to Mars should be rethought to improve our environment and not continue polluting and destroying the Earth. We have to take care of the earth to be able to make us from another planet, if we fail in the Earth we will fail in Mars or any other planet of the Milky Way at least. -
My research says......Jump Room to Mars.

There is no Place such as this planet! God placed us here and no one can place us to other planet that can provide what we need than this planet
