The Known Universe by AMNH
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
The Known Universe takes viewers from the Himalayas through our atmosphere and the inky black of space to the afterglow of the Big Bang. Every star, planet, and quasar seen in the film is possible because of the world's most complete four-dimensional map of the universe, the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History. The new film, created by the Museum, is part of an exhibition, Visions of the Cosmos: From the Milky Ocean to an Evolving Universe, at the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan through May 2010. Los seres humanos somos tan insignificantes ante el universo... y aún teniendo tanto por conocer, a veces desperdiciamos nuestra hermosa existencia con cosas muy irrelevantes. 😨 Amé este video. 😊

CREATED BY GOD
He is a smart one isnt he? -
Interesting video though beginning from the quantum realm would complete the experience 🖖🏻
-
Interesting to note the following: Humans are, on a size scale, exactly as many orders of magnitude smaller than the observable universe as they are larger than the smallest known thing. Welcome to the middle.

God is perfect!

This video + weed gave me a violent, serious schizophrenic experience. I usually like to watch trippy videos while I'm high, and I always had awesome sensations with it. This time was different. I was at home, alone and baked as a cake. I layed on the bed and grabbed my phone. I don't have a fucking clue on how I ended up here in this video. By the middle of it, I started to get really scared and I was sure that everything was a lie. In order to fell better I decided to close the fullscreen and read the comments. And the shit got violent. I read a lot of comments with the most psychedelic theories and totally started to FREAK OUT. A explosion of bad toughts popped in my brain. Like the universe is ridiculously big we don't even exist. Everything we do and ever did was useless. There's no hope for anyone, and we'll never know the meaning of all this. I started to think of atoms, past lives, black holes... Then I begin to feel sorry for schizophrenic people. "So, that's how you guys fell? How sad. I'm joining you anyway, I'll never get sane again". I was stucked in an infinite loop and I'll never come back. But eventually I did. It will take time until I process everything that happened though.

Play Planet Earth 2 by Hans Zimmer while watching this. Absolutely incredible.
-
So tiny, but yet so amazingly enormous.
-
I find this both comforting and terrifying.

maybe we r just a mistake in an chemical experiment
-
This is an animation. Outer space isn't real. We live on a flat plane covered with a dome created by GOD.
-
So amaizing. Shows perfectly clear how big we are and that the Earth is so important and influential for the entire Universe.

and here's what I'm leaving in this universe a comment among thousands of others that will never be read at 2 in the morning on a foggy Monday the 14th of November. 😔
