Thank you so much for this!

Kalam Cosmological Argument logic:
All cats meow.
My parrot can meow.
My parrot is a cat.
All pedophiles hurt children.
The god of the bible hurt children.
God is a pedophile.
All vampires rise from the grave.
Jesus rose from the grave.
Jesus is a vampire.
All creationists are idiots.
Intelligent design is creationism in a labcoat.
Proponents of intelligent design are idiots.

Religious people imagine the universe was made by a man. A superman. And he loves us as long as we love him. Otherwise he will torture us for eternity. And he needs money.
-
The origin of everything is a great and interesting puzzle. If we ever discover the truth, then it will be another boring topic in physics class.
-
The fundimental principle of quantum mechanics is that we cannot understand it, yet we have a perfect theory, confirmed to great accuracy. If we cannot understand small things, then perhaps we cannot understand the origin of the universe. It started out small !

I've learned that electrons wizz about the nucleus of atoms completely unaided. There is no cause and no purpose. They just do it. There are many subatomic events that have no causes that we can observe.

THANKYOU SO MUCH

Short, snappy and relevant information - thank you! Saving a lot of time for quickfire revision

Math is not physical, and it's not spiritual

Great video this part of philosophy is so difficult to understand

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS

Well, OK here it is. If I invent a new religion and write a book about it, then bury it in a cave in a desert in the middle east, do you think some time in the future someone might find it and then try to make money from it?

Actually, just had another thought. It's the best so far. But you don't want to know.
-
Let x = the set of all things that have always existed.
Let y = the set of everything that is not in set x.
Lets suppose that x is the cause of y.
We know that things can't have always existed, can they ?
It follows that set x is empty, obviously.
But if y was caused by x, then x came from nothing!
We know that nothing can come from nothing.
It follows that set y is also empty.
Therefore, nothing exists.
See, you can learn a lot from logic.
We don't need science.
Just THINK. -
1.Nothing, allegedly, comes from nothing.
2. We know that every woman had a mother who was also a woman.
3. But we can't go on for ever, therefore there must have been a first woman.
4. From 1 and 3, the first woman must have always existed and we call her Kali.
5. Therefore we must worship Kali and give money to her Attendants.
Isn't theology wonderful. So logical. So certain. So convincing. -
1. Everything has a cause.
2. But there must have been a first cause.
3. From 1, the first cause must have had a cause.
3. But 3 contradicts itself, so it must be false.
4. But if 3 is false, then 1 must be false.
5. Therefore, not everything has a cause.
