The Concept Of Time In Hinduism
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
This is an improvised version of the previous video Time or Kala in Hinduism. Hinduism accepts time as relative to the worlds. Time is also part of the illusion to which we are subject. The time of gods is different from the time of ours. Their days and nights are much longer than ours. In Hinduism time is equated with death, because there is a limited life span for everyone. God's day begins with the creation of world when He expands outwardly. His night begins when He withdraws the worlds into Himself and dissolves the creation. The outward expansion and inward contraction of Brahman is similar to the modern theories about the origin of the universe. There is an orderliness in the universe which is termed as Rta. It is the law of God or dharma which keeps the planets in their orbits and ensures the regular succession of time.

This is the same as pagan views on Death and the nature of cyclical time.

+77Fortran yes time can exist without matter, who said no. Time cannot exist without life(conciousness) . You are the one who created time so you should be there to observe it. That's why death and time are given same name.

caste system was meant to describe profession like soldier, teacher etc.. in olden period no profession is lower then any other. But now it changed, In olden days gurus identify your caste now they identify by birth evolution. Hinduism never mention of God mentions about conciousness, astrology, way of life . It's more of a culture then a religion

Narendra Modi at 0:15 ?? That statue was supposed to be the first human in Indus valley civilization

Ha, I could've thought so. Hinduism is way too logical and way to brilliant for such rude division of human beings. It seems that Pink Floyd is about the only good thing that ever came out of England. That nation is world champion in destroying treasures of this world, while exporting worse human flaws as "ideas" at the same time. Greetings!

this class system was converted to caste system in colonial period .~ by invaders and greedy minds which also helped to break india ! divide and rule policy ~

Caste system is english word /there is no original sanskrit word for caste system in bhagwad gita/ in gita its written that system as "class system" if we translate in englihs -and not caste! there were only 4 classes ..for classification of 4 professions/for eg, priests = brahmin. no lower or higher class. and class system is not by birth n one can change own class just by changing profession ~ its written even brahmin family's son cant be brahmin untill he gains taht much knowledge required .

according to the time. its not necessary for anyone to follow any way or ritual or worship, even work itself is worship, good deeds are worship anything positive move is worship. u dont have to fuk around worshiping in temple or place of worship, god didnt sent u here to divert his attention back t him., u are here to do ur dharma and karma so just go ahead and do it, there are so many complications in life, solution is just one, let happen what ever has to happen. never try to force stop the

Brother, first of all Religion means, One Prophet, One Book and One God, and ur do's and dont dos of ur life is dictated by mortal beings, from place or house of Worship. Hinduism is not a Religion cos it dosent have any of the above, u are ur own boss, Hinduism is actually just a way of life, we learn from our life and pass it on to the next generation, change is must, what is today will never never be tomorrow, what knowledge i aquire and leave for the next generation they must change it.

Thank you very much! I suspected that original meaning of the system was corrupted by political and other influences. It just doesn't fit into culture so vast and so splendid as Indian once was, and hopefully, will be again. Greetings and thanks again!

Correct word is “Varna”duty and obligation according to to your post or designated work. Caste is English word.In the beginning of time Manua [called nuha or Noha] humanity had to be given work and separate them according to their inborn talent. Soldiers, merchant ,cleaners etc. There was no restriction people could move into other profession like they do now. In the latter about 2000 years or with out side influence of serf, slavery and also India decline it became rigid.

Can someone give me the explanation of the caste system? Most westerners judge India only by caste system, but being so old, it must have more of a meaning than just limiting people to "classes", as our narrow European minds see it. I'm Croatian, by the way, non-practicing Roman catholic, but I find Hinduism amazing in it's complexity and absolute in it's perfect blend of science and religion, spirit and body, energy and matter. Thank you!

hahaha..I am hindu and Indian but still share the view.. perhaps this magnanimity comes from hinduism (vedicism) itself..

Excellent!

Time can exist without matter in relativity, check your facts! (viz. 'vacuum solutions' to the Einstein equations such as Minkowski spacetime)

lab test...sorry

Hindu concept of time cannot be demonstrated in lad test...so its still arguable. and cannot be proven as final.
