This is the greatest cosmos video, I fall in love when they first released in 2009.

The quality is so poor it's hard to tell what you're looking at. :(

"No one has ever seen a black hole"
I have lol on this documentary. -
Why isnt there a damn date on this? YouTube posters never put dates for their programs!
-
Does anyone know if the narrator is Michael Goldfarb and if he in-fact is the same narrator from Wonders of the Universe a 1990s show from TLC?
-
I also watch this episode. thanks for posting.

I like how factual this series is... I watch cosmology videos all the time not sure why I've never come across it.

distance to another star or galaxy will be biggest enemy when it comes to star travel. Right now we cant endure space for more than 300 days without adverse serious effects. Ole ET would be dumber than a rock to spend an entire lifetime devoted to travel multi-generations of astronauts and maybe it would be inhabited and maybe not welcome a wasted trip if such a thing should be expected. There will be no exact earth like ours. Minute or massive differences could make it poisonious to us.

speeds of galaxy rotation the inside nearest the center are spinning the same speed as the ones furthest out. Some stars spins so fast it distorts. Our earth spins at 1100 mph and stars spin around the galactic center at 135,000 mph but dont throw out stars but should. and the galaxy is speeding towards the Virgo cluster at almost 3 million mph. Speeds are all relative.

At 27:30 the narrator says, "The older the universe the slower it expands." That's a lie because it's been proven that the universe is expanding and accelerating as it expands. That would mean, "The older the universe the faster it expands." Right?

Thank you so much for posting this!!! I've been looking for it on DVD for several years! This is my favorite show on space...ever. Good for relaxing at the end of the day. I've fallen asleep to this many times...then the DVR broke, and I've not seen it on the Science Channel since. This is so awesome. Totally made my day!
