That Kyle sounds exactly like the person doing the NASA TV narration.
-
Miles made at least 2 prophetic "slips of the tounge". He mentions Texas hearing a boom and the shuttle "hitting" Louisiana. Sadly he was all to right just mins later. It reminded me of the weather man on CBS This Morning quipping that it was "Quiet.... Too quiet" around 5 mins before the 9/11 attacks kicked off.

Chirpy news anchors...

Every time I see this I get very emotional. So saaaad :(((((((

"No indications of any problems" - you lost tire pressure and temperature sensors, I'd say they were big indications...

It was my ex-wife's birthday on this day. She was sad that her birthday will be remembered for this tragedy.

My mom said one more video before bed

It makes me feel so old when footage from 2003 looks this dated...

The first 15 mins is particularly eerie.

I was deployed in Afghanistan when I saw this. It feels like yesterday.

Something I just caught, CNN kept running the graphic "Columbia first launched in 1988." How n the world did that slip by, when the first launch was in 1981, that CNN themselves covered?
-
hum 8.15 CT. A bit early to order pizza?
-
Again, CNN on the lead on some of the worst American scientific events post 1980. I think that anyone who has been through all of that deserves respect.

pierce Bronson!

Just as in 911, this is an example of it being more important for networks to have a blocking banner taking up the lower third of the screen than it is to show what's happening behind it. They will never learn their lesson... never.
