Part 2 missing, not withstanding, how does this provide anymore heat than just burning the 5 candles. You don't get something for nothing. Of course the clay pots will get hot given enough time, there is an open flame in there. The pots will never get any hotter than the BTU's available from the candles. I don't get it. Fix Part 2 to hopefully show how it works.

I think if you set the flame directly below the boldt it would make it hotter and you have a lot of air space between the pot and the candles. But,,, you might want get them too close.... if you were using the baking grease and the grease got to hot would it become flamable?

I feel like when you say "stick around", thats a order! haha.. This is worth knowing though. A very handy trick

Great video

Been thinking about doing something like this. Yours is a slicker design with the heating plate. Also, the more pots you use the more thermal mass and, like the old Andes stoves, will radiate heat longer once the heat source is removed or has burned out. Good job Corporal, see you on the next vid.

May I please ask, how much did it raise the temperature of the room in those three hours? Thank you for this video by the way. I also really enjoyed your terracotta pot refrigerator video as well.

Something to keep the Gunny's coffee warm. for an extra .1 or.2 on the cutting score?

Nice project. The average tealite puts off approx. 100 BTU's and based on weight of the wax and it's burn time, that can be converted into kwh and with a little bit of engineering for a storage unit that clay pot heat generator can also be made to charge things like camera, phone, gps and compass batteries if one were so inclined

I wouldn't have thought of it, in welding the plate to the carriage bolt it acts as a heat sink to improve distribution of heat. Thumbs up!
-
So what's the advantage to this? It helps to keep the heat generated by the candles from filling the upper portion of the room?
-
Thank you for the tutorial.

Excellent!
-
I like your design. Thanks for sharing.
-
um it says part 1. Where's part 2?

Excellent video!

Why not flip the hardware you have used around and then you eliminate the need for the bricks a stand. The metal plate isn't needed to disperse heat, the terra cotta puts will do that job all by them selves...

You're so cool

Shared today with an online friend whose heater went out in 4 degree weather.
