12. Ying and yang. My theory would be that the Big Bang has repeated infinitely and we are just in another one. Eventually all all the heat will cool and there will be no light left coz all the stars will have gone. The remaining black holes will merge and suck everything left into a single black hole which will compress everything into a critical mass singularity. At that point where time reaches absolute 0 another Big Bang will emerge and the cycle repeats.

17. astonishingly well before telescopes were even invented and well before Hubble published his Law, Prophet Muhammad used to recite a verse of the Quran to his companions that ultimately stated that the universe is expanding.
    
    “And the heaven We created with might, and indeed We are (its) expander.” (Quran 51:47)
    
    At the time of the revelation of the Quran, the word “space” was not known, and people used the word “heaven” to refer to what lies above the Earth. In the above verse, the word “heaven” is referring to space and the known universe. The verse points out that space, and thus the universe, happens to be expanding, just as Hubble’s Law states.

19. Wouldn't a contraction of the universe also explain the increasing distance and speed of the galaxies as the universe is pulled towards the center? What is the need for a mysterious dark energy if the universe is in a contraction?
