The Big Bang: Crash Course Big History #1
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
In which John Green, Hank Green, and Emily Graslie teach you about, well, everything. Big History is the history of everything. We're going to start with the Big Bang, take you right through all of history (recorded and otherwise), and even talk a little bit about the future. It is going to be awesome. In the awe-inspiring sense of the word awesome. In this episode, we walk you through the start of everything: The Big Bang. We'll look at how the universe unfolded at its very beginning, and how everything in the universe that we know today came into being. So that's kind of a big deal, right? Hey Green brothers, I've been following many of your playlists now, while doing some aware discovery of myself and the world. I feel its safe for me to say that you two are truly warriors in the fight of bringing human kind to a new height. You deserve all the success that you've got, and in my opinion, MUCH more than that. Your channel has been an inspiration to me, and has led me to seek the answers of questions I didn't even bother to ask myself before, and for that (lighting up my curiosity), I will be ever thankful.

So its possible that were many Universe bumping into each other to create our Universe.
-
Whoa...that blew my mind...you guys are brothers?!!??!!.?
-
Just finished the philosophy plays list, now I'm here. lol

What I've always been told is that the Big Bang should actually be called the Big Stretch and that the universe is eternal and the only thing that happenend with the "Big Bang" is that the universe had been once again compressed to a really reallyreallyreally tiny... thing and then started to expand once again. Is this entirely wrong or just like... another perspective cuz I'm scared of the one basic knowledge I thought I have pls help Hank.

Well, I was going to try to refute Olbers' Paradox... I know it isn't necessarily the case that integrals to infinity diverge, but it turns out that the integral of the inverse square law to infinity does diverge, and that functions for emission distribution in the universe whose integrals to infinity do converge describe an anisotropic universe, which goes against the cosmological principle. Oh well.

I've been watching this channel for years and just realized today that two different people are the presenters, love them both they, just look so similar

You think theology and Christian doctrine is pure BS and shouldn't be believed them you hear about the Space-time continuum and dark matter and you wonder what the difference is.
-
if there was nothing before the big bang.. then who caused the big bang to even happen... why did it surprisingly happen if it was nothing... u want me to believe the nothing and absolutely nothing exploded forming everything then it rearranged itself for no reason to form dinosaurs? well hey,, u seriously damaged all your logic right now. . 🐸 I wasted my time watching this ✋

its actually 13.7 billion years
-
He just had to get the Mongols in there didn't he?
-
The advent of writing was the Big Bang of propaganda!
-
That's it. I'm canceling Netflix for a while cause I'll be spending my free time on all these crash course playlists. Thanks for the amazing material and let me know if you ever get interested into subtitling this to Portuguese.

The universe is too big to have formed in only 10-20 billion years as the Big Bang theory suggests, since the Big Bang is theorized to have happened only about 13.7 billion years ago. This is because the speed of matter is limited by the speed of light. The problem here is that if the Big Bang had occurred, firstly the universe is too large to have only happened 13.7 billion years ago, and secondly there is temperature uniformity which requires matter to have moved beyond the speed of light to become universally uniform. This is impossible according to Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, because nothing can move faster than the light's speed.

Anyone notice that 2014 was like the best year ever.
-
So the whole universe was in a hot dense state? And nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started?
-
Justice for the pigeons!! Science is murder! Bible and things!
Lol okay anyway this is a great channel and I love watching your content! -
wait, so matter cannot be created...
so where does it come from?
i mean, it can't just be there...
can it?
this is too much for my puny brain
and i'm 13.8 billions years of according to the first law of thermodynamic
nice -
