"Martinus Spiritual Science" Science has shown that changes in physical matter are bound by law. The Danish author Martinus (1890-1981) shows that there are also laws for thinking. Knowledge of these mental laws of nature will make it possible for people to gain command of their mentality and gradually create a global kingdom of love on Earth. Quotation from Ole Therkelsen's book "Martinus and the new World Morality" www.martinusshop.dk §11.3 The third sex A major theme in the Cosmology is the past 3,500 years with The Old Testament and The New Testament, and the future 3,000 years with The Third Testament. The final thing that people must learn is to be of benefit to all that is living, to bring happiness and blessings and that means to live in harmony with the law of life or love's great commandment, "love one another". Human consciousness and sexual structure is undergoing a very big transformation in these centuries. Martinus has described this in over 500 pages consisting of the entire volume of Livets Bog 5, the book Two Kinds of Love and The Eternal World Picture 3, symbol no. 33 Already in 1932 in LB1 §130--132 Martinus discusses terrestrial mankind's sexual transformation, which takes place in three major stages: the zone of happy marriages, the zone of unhappy marriages and the zone of infertility. This evolution from animals to humans, from egotism to altruism, from partial love and falling in love to impartial universal love follows the laws of nature or the timetable of evolution. The arrival of a new human being in our day can amongst others things be seen with the way men and women begin to resemble each other more and more. The masculine grows in the woman and the feminine in the man, which is the organic basis for the beginning evolution of the equality of the sexes. The evolution from animal to human, according to Martinus, is not only natural, but also an unavoidable process in the creation of "the finished human being in God's image", which is a double-poled being with the masculine and the feminine poles in complete equilibrium. The finished human being loves all and has no favourites because its double-poledness no longer has any organic mental basis to prefer one gender over another. The Godhead, which is the sum of all living beings, is thus in itself also double-poled. The biggest surprise in Martinus Cosmology must be that according to the laws or timetable of evolution there should arise a new sex -- a third sex. One takes it for granted that when in the past there have been men and women, when today there are men and women, so there will in future also continue to be men and women. But according to Martinus there will not continue to be men and women, there will as mentioned come into being a third sex! The third sex is represented by the double-poled sex which in its fully evolved state has the masculine and the feminine in equal balance in its consciousness. Males and females, men and women are half-sex beings who live in a mutual dependence upon each other. The evolution of the progressively more double-poled human being, who in the final phase becomes complete and fully independent, is shown statistically with more and more adults living on their own. It is also the progressive evolution of double-poledness which means that one eventually can have sympathy for one's own sex. According to Martinus' analyses the double-poled state of consciousness will at a later stage in evolution also be followed up by a new double-poled type of organism. (See LB5 §1886--1918). THE TWO SEXUAL POLES MERGING AND BEING'S SEXUAL TRANSFORMATION FROM ANIMAL TO HUMAN
1935. With regard to the two poles, then the ordinary pole, that is, the masculine pole in the man and the feminine pole in the woman, has in its release centre in the sexual organs. The latent or opposite pole, that is, masculine pole in the woman and the feminine pole in the man, has its release centre in the brain organs. In the normal terrestrial human being, these two centres are still clearly separate. But gradually, as evolution progresses and the opposite pole increases, a connecting line, a kind of mental main nerve, grows between the two centres. It begins as a radiant offshoot from both centres, that is, from the brain and from the sexual centre in region of the spinal cord. These two offshoots continue to grow until they reach one another one day and immediately make a connection. This in turn means that full contact also arises at that moment between the sexual brain centre and the sexual mating centre or centre for attraction. The being becomes completely awake day-conscious in its opposite pole, which at that very moment is being overshadowed by the centre for sexual attraction. Attraction to, or love for, its own sex then arises in the being, but this love has nothing to do with marriage. Indeed, this new feeling of attraction differs from the previous sexual attraction, which was a mobilisation of energy for mating and thereby for the desire for ownership of another being that we know as "amorous love", by being true love. This in turn means an expression of energy that definitely does not aim to possess or own anyone or anything, but senses nothing but an all-encompassing feeling of pleasure in serving everything and everyone in contact with the divine laws. The appearance of one’s fellow beings as men or women is no longer the object of the culmination of love, but the "human being" in the human being is. […]

Thoughts, Illness and health – Chapter 24 in my book
"Martinus, Darwin and Intelligent Design - A new Theory of evolution"
§ 24.6 HOW DO THOUGHTS INFLUENCE THE MICROCOSMIC LIFE IN THE ORGANISM?
Martinus writes as follows about the force of thought: “The life force behind the experience and manifestation of all living beings has its seat in and is developed by means of the thought force. This is in turn the same as the electromagnetic force with whose aid the ‘I’ provides all its physical organs with life force and well-being” (LB6 §2295).
The quality of our thoughts determines the quality of the microcosmic life that incarnates in our organism. The organism constitutes the universe in which the micro-individuals live. Both we and our microlife attain the greatest degree of health if we think thoughts of the highest quality.
When explaining the seven spiral cycles on symbol no. 14 (EWP1), Martinus did not include the conscious life of the super-microcosm and the super-macrocosm. But he did refer to future analyses in connection with the two symbols showing the finished and unfinished human beings, both containing eighteen spirals.
Martinus: “Later, we shall look in more detail at this area in special symbols of this conscious life or spirit of the super-microcosm and super-macrocosm that is inaccessible to physical sensing. This conscious life, which can only be observed by cosmic sensing, is very important for the mesocosmic beings, because it constitutes the life condition for their body and soul, just like the mesocosmic beings are in their turn an absolute life condition for the conscious life or spirit and body of the microcosmic and macrocosmic beings. This microcosmic life is of various qualities for good or ill. As the mesocosmic beings with their particular thought quality attract and give scope for the incarnation of microlife of corresponding quality in their organisms or physical bodies, we can see how important it is to create thought forms whose quality is as high, good and loving as possible. The healthiest and most evolved microlife and its corresponding matter then incarnates in our organism” (EWP1 §14.19).
Martinus tells us that wrong thinking is the cause of all illness: in other words, all illness is ultimately due to a lack of love.
Our crowded hospitals show that human beings in general are ignorant of the fact that the state of their health depends on the quality of their thoughts. The quality of our organism’s microlife is determined by our thoughts and consciousness. Martinus identifies these with “the spirit that moves over the face of the waters” in the universe that the organism constitutes for its microbeings.
Martinus: “Human beings thus have no real awareness that when their thought climate consists of evil or the killing principle, only microbeings of corresponding killing quality can incarnate in their organism. And conversely, when their thought climate comprises the life-giving or loving principle, then microbeings of corresponding life-giving nature incarnate in their organism” (EWP1 §14.20).
Also, the well-being of the microbeings is experienced as health and sensuous delight by the macrobeing.
Martinus: “It is naturally self-evident that the well-being, peace and harmony of the microbeings also reaches the awareness of the macrobeing’s ‘I’ like a collective energy wave. The being then perceives this energy wave as radiant health, a radiantly pleasant sense of well-being, even culminating in what we call ‘sensuous delight’.” (LB2 §597).
24.7 WHAT IS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THOUGHTS AND THE LIFE FORCE?
Human thoughts are an expression of the mesocosmic electricity that governs the physical organism like a mental force. Accordingly, microcosmic mind or thought is the force that maintains the organisms of the microbeings. In all living beings, the life force and thinking exist in the form of microcosmic, mesocosmic and macrocosmic electricity (LB6 §2144–2146, 2186, 2295, 2302–2303).
By understanding these three forms of electricity or mental force, we approach a further recognition of the universe as a living, thinking being, an all-encompassing God that constitutes the totality of all existing beings. Martinus explains that all the fate elements of the individual living beings together constitute an ocean of consciousness that makes up the consciousness of the universe. (Den Intellektualiserede Kristendom, §10).
If we can understand the consciousness of an individual being, then we can gradually also begin to understand the living universe as total consciousness.
Human beings experience the flow of electric waves passing through their brains as thoughts, whereas they appear outwardly as magnetism, which is the same as life force. Thoughts stream through the whole body as fine electric waves. Thinking thus corresponds to being recharged with superphysical force, or a kind of electrification of the organism and specifically of the blood.
Martinus writes: “Thinking is thus the highest foundation for the formation of the blood, whose quality must therefore stand and fall with the nature and quality of the thoughts. As the blood in turn constitutes the bearing foundation for the formation, maintenance and well-being of the organism, thinking is thus the very highest factor in the manifestation of life. What a being thinks, it becomes. If it has morbid and abnormal thoughts, its organism will become magnetised in a sickly or abnormal way, and it will appear as unhealthy and weakened to a corresponding degree. In contrast, light, healthy and normal thoughts will inevitably come to appear as the expression of the highest normal well-being” (Bisættelse, Chapter 43).
Thoughts are consequently mesocosmic electrical impulses. Right thoughts charge the fate element with positive life force. The physical organism is a mesocosmic electrical apparatus that runs on organic or mesocosmic electricity.
Martinus: “As already noted, the human being is electrically charged, which is the same as being charged with life force, through the sensory experiences from both the physical and spiritual worlds. The sense organs convert physical reactions to mesocosmic electrical impulses that become a living experience in the waking day consciousness as they pass through the subconscious. They then pass through battery organs where they are collected to become the driving force for the being’s thought and will functions that subsequently manifest through the physical organism. This manifestation in turn creates a reaction in the outer surroundings. This reaction constitutes the being’s fate” (Kosmos no. 1/1980).
24.9 CAN THE CAUSES OF THE VARIOUS ILLNESSES BE CATALOGUED?
Martinus tells us that all congenital diseases, weaknesses and tendencies to disease have been carried over from earlier lives because the talent kernels for creating organs have been damaged. From the deepest perspective, this damage is due to a habitual repetition of wrong thought patterns. At one time, Martinus considered setting up a comprehensive catalogue of diseases showing their cosmic causes. Because every specific symptom corresponds to a specific thought defect, diseases can be alleviated by learning to think rightly. However, he soon realised that such a catalogue would be as extensive as the whole of Livets Bog, and that he simply would not have the time for it. He added that this was not really so important, because doctors would be able to create such a catalogue in future on the basis of their own cosmic glimpses and experiences.
Martinus writes: “As all thoughts are a radiant force that not only permeates and passes through the brain but also permeates the atomic microstructures in the blood, muscles and nerves, then it’s far from irrelevant what kinds of thoughts go through the organism’s microlife and organs. As joyful thoughts constitute the normal life force in the structure of an animal organism, this life force is damaged to the degree that the human being is filled with thoughts of anger, depression and martyrdom. And when the life force is sapped, it does not have sufficient capacity to convey the normal life function that should be expressed exclusively in a permanent joy in living” (Unnatural Tiredness, Book no. 16C, Chapter 9).
Many people suffer from victim thinking, seeing themselves as innocent victims of their circumstances. Angry and depressive thoughts as well as feelings of martyrdom repel joy in life and the normal life force, and bring us to the innermost cause of all illness and dark fates.

THE TRANSFORMATION FROM ANIMAL TO HUMAN BEING IS NOT AN ACT OF WILL BUT OF GROWTH
The transformation of man from animal to human being is not an act of will like walking, standing or running, saying yes or no, or deciding when one will eat or drink. This fundamental transformation, on the contrary, is an act of growth or a matter of development like becoming a genius at music, painting or anything else. Being able to love one's neighbour as oneself, and thereby God above all things, is the same as being a moral genius. This ingeniousness can be acquired only through evolution. And it is precisely this evolution towards becoming a moral genius that is taking place in the unfinished human being in the animal kingdom. Becoming a moral genius is the same as becoming a human being whose mode of existence is universal love; such a moral genius therefore manifests itself as a human being in God's image after his likeness.
THE MASCULINE POLE AND THE FEMININE POLE
We call the two great main organs of the highest fire "the masculine pole" and "the feminine pole". These two poles are present in every living being. They exist in an eternally and interdependently changing relationship to one another in the being. These interdependently changing relationships give rise to correspondingly changing transformations of the living being in question. These transformations are both physical and mental. They change both the organism and the mentality. When we look at all the world's minerals, plants, animals and terrestrial human beings, we see, at any rate from a cosmic point of view, that they all constitute forms of life that have been transformed from a previous lower state to their present, more developed state. And likewise we see here that the present forms of life are in the process of being transformed into new states. It is this process of transformation that we must acknowledge as "God's creation of the human being in his image after his likeness". The above-mentioned forms of life - minerals, plants, animals and terrestrial human beings - represent stages in evolution or creation that every living being must live through in order to become a perfect or finished human being in God's image after his likeness. Since God's creation transforms the animal into a human being, it transforms the murderous and deadly being into an all-loving being that promotes life or is a joy and blessing for all living things. From being a devilish human being, a genius at the unfoldment of darkness, it turns into a culminating being of love, a genius at manifesting light. But two such diametrically opposed contrasts as the devilish human being and the godlike human being, that is the human being in God's image, absolutely cannot have the same organic structure behind their modes of existence or manifestation of life. The organic structure of the one being is such that it is essential that the being kill in order to live. The organic structure of the other being is such that it renders the being incapable of killing, murdering or in any other way hurting any living being. At best it loves its neighbour as it loves itself and is conscious of God, while the other being can at best display merely egoistic sympathy or attraction, which means amorous love for a being of the opposite sex who can reciprocate this love. Where the being's feelings are not reciprocated its mating attraction can easily turn into hatred.
Whether the being is one of the killing and unloving beings, or it is one of the loving and life-promoting beings depends on the relationship of the two sexual poles to one another. In the killing and unloving being one of the two poles is temporarily more or less latent, while the other pole so to speak supports its entire vital functioning and mode of existence. In some beings the feminine pole is more or less latent, whereby the masculine pole becomes the basis for the being's vital functioning and mode of existence. We call such a being a "male being". In other beings the masculine pole is more or less latent, whereby the female pole becomes the basis for the being's vital functioning and mode of existence. The being appears then as what we call a "female being". Since these beings thus appear as specifically male and specifically female beings, we call them "one-poled" beings.

MARTINUS ABOUT THE RISKS OF MEDITATION
Book no. 20 Meditation, see www.martinus.dk
Conditions for the experience of natural cosmic glimpses
10. We have seen here examples of how the spirit of God can truly overshadow the consciousness or mentality of a physical human being. This impact of God's spirit on the mentality of the human being is thus not something that happened only to the prophets of Israel. It is something that can also happen this very day. And I think that there must be accounts of cosmic glimpses in world literature. Terrestrial mankind is at any rate so far advanced in evolution that there will now gradually be people who are mature enough to receive or experience cosmic glimpses. These people, who are thus completely ready for this expe-rience, certainly do not know it themselves. Indeed, they will as a rule totally deny that they could be so far advanced in evolution. All the many who consider themselves to be on the verge of a cosmic glimpse are still very far from this divine experience. The experience comes to those people who have become very humble and mentally calm, beings who have absolutely no ambition or wish to become anything great, either physically or spiritually. They are by nature very loving towards their neighbours, and in fact wish only to be of help to other people. It is this liberation from, or outgrowing of, ambition, combined with an outstanding humane capacity, that makes the cosmic glimpses harmless. For people who are still ambitious or hungry for fame and who would like to be something great (indeed even have a strong desire to acquire higher cosmic faculties) the impact of a cosmic glimpse can be very dangerous. Such a being's selfish thought-climate will immediately short-circuit the impact of cosmic energy, and the being will come into an abnormal state, which in the worst cases will result in his believing that he is Christ and that he has a very great mission that must be fulfilled. He can also involve himself in other forms or manifestations of megalomania, just as his nerves and heart can suffer a great or excessive strain. Such an experience is most accurately expressed as a bitter experience, and, what is more, is of no particular benefit.
MARTINUS ABOUT THE RISKS OF MEDITATION, Book no. 20.
Cosmic glimpses come entirely by themselves and not by any kind of artificial training
11. A cosmic glimpse with such unfortunate consequences can, however, take place only if brought about artificially, which means that in one way or another, by harmfully concentrated meditation or thinking, the being concerned has brought about the cosmic glimpse. As the general, everyday thought-climate of the being is not on a level with the vibrations and wavelengths of the cosmic glimpse, dangerous mental short-circuits that can lead to abnormality, nervous breakdown and other forms of unpleasantness arise. How does it then happen that people can bring about cosmic glimpses prematurely? In certain cases it can happen that the cosmic glimpse occurs during meditation, even though the person meditating is much too immature to experience such an impact on the consciousness. It is then that the short circuit occurs. It can thus be very dangerous to meditate if one is totally unacquainted with the laws of the cosmic structure. When people in the East practise meditation very much and can achieve natural results, it is mainly due to the fact that they respect the holy activities in quite a different way from people here in the West. In the East, where people are to a great extent pupils of eminent wise men and are instructed by them in the correct attitude towards meditation, then meditation will not present any danger for the pupil, since he is under the care of his highly advanced wise man and will not get a harmful attitude to this particular activity. Here we must first and foremost understand that cosmic glimpses have to come entirely of their own accord and not through any kind of experimentation whatsoever, nor as the result of training. And the real and beneficial experiences of cosmic glimpses come, as previously stated, when the person in question in no way suspects or expects it. Indeed, in most cases, he would not be able even to dream of his being so developed as to be able to experience cosmic glimpses, that divine connection with the holy spirit. This experience comes quite by itself when the human being is mature enough. This does not mean that one should not meditate – on the contrary – but this meditation must be absolutely harmless and be as appropriate as possible for producing that maturity which qualifies the human being to receive the holy spirit in his consciousness. Artificial attainment of cosmic glimpses can cause insanity and nervous breakdown.
