Supernova: Exploding Stars
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
To some there is no vision more reassuring: the cycles of the sun and the moon, the heavens ceaselessly turning. The night sky is unchanging and eternal -- Or so it seems. But modern astronomy has given us a much different vision: a universe that roils and vents its rage... In fierce radiation jets that erupt from newborn stars. In netherworlds where matter billions of times the mass of our sun collapses to a single point. In the most violent explosions since the Big Bang... The supernova.

Ralph is right you know - the TV guy even said quasars as well - more powerful than all of them too! bollocks on a plate - but that's what these shows are.
-
there are 22 exploding stars at the moment and if you go outside and look up tonight you will see at least six of them
-
Are there exploding stars, how many? where/why do stars explode? can some body help? thanks.
-
Am I the only one who doesn't understand what the HELL he's talking about?
-
you pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
-
Kinda left us hanging. It ended when infant stars are born bursting forth radiation like machine gun rounds. What comes after that?
-
So wait a minute so if a star explodes and is like 50 million light years away, then we see something that happened 50 million years ago? Wtf? It's like seeing the past while in the present, woah

It's a mistake to engage the assertive religion people, folks. They're like conspiracy theorists in the sense that they generally live for attention and argumentative engagement are convinced the establishment is against them. Best to ignore and vote down their videos, and of course try to avoid watching them in the first place.

They put out, in ten seconds, as much as all the stars and and galaxies in the observable universe put together??? I do not think so! That is patently ridiculous!
They put out the energy, or luminosity of all the stars in "a" galaxy - but "all" the galaxies in the observable universe - put together? - in ten seconds? Beyond preposterous! -
I support the fact that supernovas are REAL and not fake. (the following scientific "theories" are bullshit: the Big Bang and Evolution, and Climate Change)
-
is it just me or does the documentary seem not over at the end

Mike Hammer, cosmic P.I.

think about it...we'll all be here when the Sun goes red. in some reconstituted matter all our parts will be here. scary
-
may i be so bold as to present my theory of relativity and the big bang?
why do we need to connect ourselves to something that is not connected to us?
the big bang was the birth of our galaxy and no other
and everything is contained in our galaxy that the theory of relativity pertains to
if your a collage student do the math and make a presentation you might be the next Einstein -
Kiitos!
-
do you have any evidence to prove that?
-
I'd just like to say I'm extremely pleased how you both used the proper forms of "your" and "you're". Carry on.

gravity is just a theory
