STS-107 Columbia launch on January 16, 2003. This was the final launch of the Space Shuttle Columbia. She was lost on February 1, 2003 with the loss of all hands.

Who knew that she would never be coming back..

Should have been saved; especially since the Atlantis was underway to launch the following month. NASA should have sent the Atlantis up early to save the crew, and with the tools to fix the wing. Would have been in the museums now as it deserves to be.

13 years after Columbia launched for the final time! -
It's ironic how blarening visible the part that is going to cause the damage is (the bright foam near the front of the shuttle nose, at the bottom of the attachment strut).

I was living in Phoenix, Arizona, Nobody from Connecticut, I wasn't pimping, I watched the whole launch on Television, Bernadette was at work at Learner NYC women's clothing store in the Metro Center Mall.
