"Space Cowboy" and "Livin' in the USA" were minor hits in the 1960's and received steady airplay on album oriented FM stations. Steve Miller continued to tour but it wasn't until 1973 and throughout the seventies that he reinvented himself and really broke out with hits like "The Joker", "Fly Like An Eagle", "Rock'n Me", "Take the Money and Run", "Jet Airliner" and "Jungle Love".

Studio version is better but damn, what a performance.

This is so damn good; I cry for the kids today who are missing out on a whole legacy of their "mom and dad's music".
-
So who taught Steve Miller to play guitar, Les Paul. Steve's father, Steve Sr., was best man when Les Paul married Mary Ford.
