SSTV Images from the International Space Station
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
I recorded a couple ISS passes tonight. I used my Arrow Antenna dual band J-Pole antenna, FT-817, Signalink USB interface and MMSSTV software. You should be able to decode your own pictures by using the audio from this video.

Do you need to go to a certain location to get these transmissions or are they global?
-
How in the world do I get images from the ISS? I'm new to SSTV, it's very interesting indeed.

This USSR images! It is written there:80 years since the birth of Yuri Gagarin. In our history books, it is the very first flew in space. But in your history books it is written that first flew Glenn. It seems that the signal went from the Russian module of the ISS.

I LIKE YOUR VIDS THE BEST, YOU EXPLAIN IT BEST... THANKS, JOE (WX4CAZ)

Is there any schedule for this or do I need to have everything running each time it passes?
-
I tried doing the same but with no luck, using a j pole antenna to receive, ft 7800, and stand 1/8 to sound running MMSSTV.

NEAT!!

Teach us, Master Randy! :)

The second pass was a great picture.
Would be willing to do a series on SSTV like what you did for PSK31? I'm having trouble getting things going on SSTV. -
Hi Randy, nice photo there, at the end. Thanks

Thanks for sharing this. I need to give it a go myself.

hi randy just built your 1/4 wave dipole last night so as could use it to try sstv from the iss got a part of a picture will try again today great channl i am just getting back into
the ham radio after being off for a few years keep up the good work with the channel -
Very cool. I will have to try that with my Ed Fong J pole. I live in the Bay Area so I would be picking up the same ISS passes as you. I will have to look up the ISS frequency and see when it's going to pass by.

Thanks for sharing. I was surprised to get a couple of images from every North American pass (I'm in Texas). I was concerned that I would only get two low passes today based on my ISS packet experience. - K5PAV
