This is a Project im on creating the District 9 Mothership that i will use for a VFX Animation. This is all around 12 Hours of Work building the Upperside of the Alien Ship. I get some trouble with the Sony Vegas Pro 12 Renderings, so please excuse the not so perfect quality, hope i can fix it for the next movie and upload it in full 1920x1080 Resolution. Nice specs. Is your blender experience smooth?

This is one amazing tutorial!

Good movie huh :)

although it's a little more time consuming, it can help to dissolve vertices you know you don't and won't need as you work on your projects. if you need one or more in a certain spot, you can always subdivide edges as needed. though seeing how adept you are, there's obviously no real need for me to tell you that, lol.

Add->Curve->Circle and also a path, curve, or another circle, then select one of your objects that should look like a pipe and go (on blender`s right side) to the Curve properties and add your first added circle as "Bevel Object". there are a lot of tutorials about this :)
