SpaceX Rocket Landing At Sea Captured By On-Board Camera, Chase Plane | Video
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
On April 8th, 2016, Space landed its Falcon 9 first stage on an ocean barge for the first time. A camera mounted to the rocket captured the landing along with a chase plane. The same hardware launched the Dragon spacecraft on the CRS-8 Space Station re-supply mission minutes earlier. -- SpaceX Mission Control Erupts in Applause: http://goo.gl/Akgaew President Obama Hails Historic Achievement: http://goo.gl/HONIqO Credit: SpaceX / NASA / edited by Space.com's @SteveSpaleta

LOL this shit is so damn fake.
-
heard this was fake as shit
-
This is seriously the fakest cgi looking bs ever! It almost looks like it's a launch played in reverse, it's so fuckin bullshit
-

Space X project should answer why the U.S. Astraunauts are depended on Russian Soyuz Spacecraft to fly U.S. Astraunauts to the ISS. If the U.S. has carried out Apollo missions to the Moon several times from 1969 why the U.S. is not able to fly U.S. Astronauts to the ISS now ? The ISS is just 340 km from earth. They still depend on the Russian Soyuz Spacecraft. If the Apollo mission took several days to reach the Moon why can't the U.S. fly their own Astraunauts to the ISS which is just 3.5 hrs flight to the ISS. The Space X is just hyping the launch of the supply craft without humans on board with Falcon 9 rockets. Space X should also answer why they is belittling the Soyuz space craft technology even when the 48 mission is now ready to be launched from the Soyuz space craft from Kazakasthan and US and European Astronauts are flying in it. Space X should also explain why launch videos where the sound of applause are heard like a Soccer match in progress and who is responsible for misguiding the General public by uploading false episodes. Also eplain the role of the famed film director Stanley Kubrick in faking the Appolo mission Moon landings in studios on the earth.

fake mission
-
can't belive it... did they placed a big wire just in front of the camera?!?
-
So sad this video is fake, look at that angle, there is no way the rocket would come down on that angle, otherwise it would drift to thenside...
-
hey they rewound a lauch! jk lol
-
Congrats to the engineers that worked on designing the landing sequence.
-
It looked fake. That's how good the landing was.
-
...with Spacex, Tesla and Hyperloop we are living in exciting times thanks to Elon Musk's visionary and can do spirit.
-
The waves is strong too. Damn good job SpaceX!
-
Thank god for private funding. Seems we're going forward after all.
-
The on-board camera looks damaged, with a dark mark covering the middle of the field of view and obscuring maybe 10% of it. Was that camera used to do the landing, or is that camera just for fun and the landing was coordinated using other, undamaged, instruments?

Awesome! I love how it approaches at such and angle, straightens out and lands with hardly a jar or jounce.

"We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars. Now we just look down, and worry about our place in the dirt.
We must reach far beyond our own lifespans. We must think not as individuals but as a species.
We're not meant to save the world. We're meant to leave it. This world's a treasure, but it's been telling us to leave for a while now." ーinterstellar,2014 -
Both amazing and bizarre looking.
