SpaceX lands rocket at sea, makes history
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
SpaceX has finally landed its Falcon 9 rocket on a drone ship at sea, after launching the vehicle into space this afternoon. It's the first time the company has been able to pull off an ocean landing, after four previous attempts ended in failure. Today's success is a crucial milestone for SpaceX, as it shows the company can land its rockets both on solid ground and ocean. Scientists have found gravitational waves? The significance of that finding explained by Loren Grush and The Verge Video team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlch-DWaQE0&list=PL39u5ZEfYDEMEdiwwbNzybGP65-o-OTez&index=3

This design is not good. it is inherently unstable. No matter how much you adjust it by the software, there is a tipping point that you can no longer correct the situation. Learn a little bit from Chinese design Chenge's 5 space ship. I saw it and that is a very clever design. No wonder China is soft landing on the Moon. NASA has no soft landing technology. Armstrong almost died one month before Appolo 11 fake movie was broadcasted. NASA's soft landing test failed, but Armstrong ejected himself out. He was a skilled pilot.. --- From Senior design engineer.

This landing looks so sci-fi I can't breathe. OUTSTANDING PROJECT!

What a joke

There's no WiFi in space or on the ocean. or is there?

Elon Musk is our new inspiration

So how the hell did the NASA land on the moon if they've just managed to land on earth just a few months ago?

Everyone on the SapceX team is a beast.

Falcon 9 landing would be more successful and fuel efficient with vertical magnus effect.

It's not just the amount of leftover fuel it's the velocity that would have to countered to boost back to the cape. If it is going away from the launch sight at Mach 10 it simply doesn't have enough fuel to zero out that velocity and accelerate back to a similar speed in the opposite direction to boost back to the launch sight.

I think a more viable option should be a large space shuttle, larger than the retired US shuttle of course, to allow it to fly back on an airport, that's a more reliable way for reusing. This is a marvel for sure, but it just doesn't seem quite secure.

Oh boy, a sideways backwards rocket ship landing on a barge in the ocean! Super neato!

I only came here for the comments holy crap guys you make me lose faith in humanity 😂😂😂😂

That is truly hilarious! Do people actually believe this real? Of all the fake stupid videos out there from nasa and spacex, this one takes the cake.Lmfao
