SpaceX landing: Elon Musk shows Jeff Bezos that his is bigger with Falcon 9 landing

CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — The successful launch and landing by the first stage of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Monday night marks a huge step forward towards reusable rockets. SpaceX founder Elon Musk was ecstatic when his Falcon 9 landed intact near its launch pad at Cape Canaveral after launching satellites to space. The historic flight could lead to a promising future of significantly cheaper launch costs. In November, Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin also landed a rocket, but Musk quickly pointed out their New Shepard rocket only went up really high and came back down — it didn't orbit. Reusable rockets would be a game changer because launching cargo into space would be much cheaper with only fuel and maintenance costs to consider. The Falcon 9 costs around $60 million to make. The fuel costs per launch are about $200,000. "If one can figure out how to effectively reuse rockets just like airplanes, the cost of access to space will be reduced by as much as a factor of a hundred," Musk said on SpaceX's website. "The next step is to see how much it costs and how long it takes to refurbish the recovered stage and fly it again," said Scott Page, director of the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University, to NBC News. Musk's eventual goal is to send people on a one-way ticket to Mars. Taiwanese Animators is so funny because it is so edgy and frankly a tad liberal

Jeff Bezos is just trying to get some cheap attention!! He is nowhere near Spacex!
-
not a one way trip. he wants to use the same rockets to bring.people back..

This is....RETARDED

This was awsome in a horrible kind of way, I just can't put my finger on it.

People don't get it...pretty much the human race will win, eventually. Some will win more than others though..these guys could become much richer than Bill Gates if they can bring back a few asteroids full of titanium and stuff.
But it's not just about space tourism....the space tourists will really be funding much more useful activities. The world needs rare metals that can be found on asteroids. The ability of small companies and organizations to have their own satellites is very liberating too. And good for scientists and research as well. And having a Mars colony isn't a bad idea, although I suspect that is going to take a lot longer and have a lot more problems then people envision..maybe 2050 or 2060 is more likely....but it really could save the human race, I guess.
Getting rich douchebags to fund this kind of stuff is pretty smart, and, well, who WOULDN'T WANT to be a rich douchebag.....exactly! Nobody! -
These animators were having a bit too much fun with this.
-
Please!!! Make this in English!!! LOL

LOL: 0:48 "Both want to go to space, but Bezos just wants to send rich douches on vacation."
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

this. is. AWESOME!

Animation sucks,

Why are people pretending like SpaceX and Blue Origins are competitors? Both involve space, sure, but the similarities end there. BO wants to do space tours, while SpaceX is already making money on real commercial launches to orbit. SpaceX has a competitor, and it's not BO. It's the ULA. Those two companies are in a space race. Being the first private contractor to get crew to the ISS. Blue Origins hasn't even made it to that starting line.

they are both awesome winners
