Wtf can't you just... Land it on the ground?
-
Okay Flat Earth Crazies.... this is not backward play video.... Hoax.
-
Imagine having Falcon heavies launching every hour. Every ten minutes. Fuck i wish humanity got hard over space and technology the way i do.
-
copied from china, useless american fucks
-
NASA: lands on mars; gets excited
SpaceX: lands on earth; HOLY FUCKING SHIT AMAZING FUCKING BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IN HUMAN HISTORY HOLY SHIT -
how is this possible If the éarth is flat
-
OK. So I see people screaming in awe and it seems everyone just assumes this is incredibly hard to accomplish. It looks like crap to me (just being honest), so I must be missing MUCH of the difficulty here.
Can someone explain why is this so hard to do?
I mean my drone corrects its 3D position instantly if I punch him with enough speed and accuracy to keep flying, every single time. And we are speaking of a mere 1k € device... how is this, after millions and millions of $ much more awesome? -
Not CGI? Self landing rockets! WOW!!! Never thought it possible.
-
useless
-
good job humanity, we did it
-
very stable too considering the sea state
-
Out of all the dumb shit this world produces this is the joy of pure greatness and hard work. Makes me proud to be a living witness to this historic moment.
-
What movie is this?
-
What a boat load of crap if you believe this! They had to stop the footage and cut away… Play a tape backwards and this is what it would look like…
-
How the fuck can you land a rocket that tall so stably, I can't imagine how much engineering and math it took to do this
-
Looks fake
Like something out of a sci-fi film
just AMAZING, where do I sign up to work for Spacex? -
K. I saw a brief statement in Popular Science about this successful experiment. Had to check for possible video! However, at 46, having helped troubleshoot the Apple //c, having spotted honestly every single Photoshopped or otherwise scammed video/photo sent my way (hundreds), this simply does not seem true.
How is it that the lateralyl-firing thrusters are simply invisible? The rocket has to stabilize itself vertically somehow, doesn't it? How else can one explain the quick, perfect, stabilization to pure vertical, much less ZERO rocking of any kind on touchdown on a MOVING platform?
Honestly, ultimately I'm just an enthusiast, seeking actual answers to these questions.

.... hold my beer.
-
can somebody help me understand just how complex creating a machine like falcon 9 is?
-
Even if it were fake, they've still got some revolutionary CGI. (I think it's real btw)
