After launching the Thaicom 8 satellite, the first stage of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket attempted and succeeded an experimental landing on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. As with other missions going to geostationary orbits, the first-stage was subject to extreme velocities and re-entry heating, making a successful landing challenging. So to clear this up... most people think this is real, the only reason there are lots of people talking about this "obvious hoax" is because those are the people that are so unintelligent as to comment on a youtube video looking for attention. The intelligent ones avoid the comment section because they know it is a bottomless pit. oh... by the way, THE EARTH IS NOT FLAT.

That'd impressive. Even when you can see the differential equations in your head as it comes down, and know just how ruddy fast the computer has to be to make all the corrections, it still looks brilliant.
And as to the conspiracy theorists: If you can't do math you are at best a tolerable subhuman who has learned not to make messes in the house.

isn't amazing that the only footage of this incredible feat is a stationary camera, viewing the pad... if I were the project manager, i'd have several cameras and even chase helicopters to document the ENTIRE re-entry all the way down to the landing.. wonder WHY it's only 1 cam that "glitched" at the critical point of landing... maybe they'll film the next one...
