space x landing (false rocket image overlay)
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
i used some basic overlay commands to give a basic area where the rocket is in the video. i did this to give an idea of where the rockets location would reference to the surroundings. interestingly it seems to follow quite smoothly, except the end where i believe the rocket is partly underwater and bobbing on the ocean. Nice job on the video.

Looks great, I would say there are some pixels that are in need of re-alignment around 12 and 19 seconds.... I think due to the original mpeg stream being corrupted they have been a rocket firing (as it looks orange like fire) but it shows as to the left of the rocket... unless the spin of the rocket actual made the flames go sideways? otherwise it looks better than I thought anyone could get it, even with a false overlay.. Cudos

IF some of you guys are GOOD WITH CODE, can you please write an algorithm to smooth between pixels, i can see the basic code, like get the pixel color and do a gradual pixel comparision to each pixel around the pixel and then you would have an average(this would relate to the binary color wheel RGB unit and compare this way, probably if(>= get.average of pixel A,B,C,D,)this would smooth pixels around the target pixel on average) and that should smooth out the sqaure pixels(you might even need a comparison of the larger pixelation areas seen in the video), i can see it done,it would not be perfect i know, but i lost my coding abilities, you could get the video into an array[ ] to save information space and work area, then run a while() statement or time command to step through the pixels and compare to each other. i really wish i could remember my coding, it makes so much sense, but i would error the crap out of the compiler lol!! what do you guys think, this is really a simple thing of code, someone run with this please!!!!!!!

the reason for the video was a space x reddit response to cleaning up the video, my main goal with this video is showing the trajectory with a false representation of the rocket image, it really gives you the direction and rocket movement much more clearly, i hope you like, i can atleast see the gyroscopic spin or so i believe, which must stabalize, like during takeoff, thanks for watching! i cant wait for next launch! wooo!
