Welcome to my 100th video! Learn how to create a cool camera transition from Outer Space down through the atmosphere, clouds, into the city and down into my apartment! This is an advanced 5 part tutorial series. In this part - part 1 - I will show you how to use Cinema 4D to render out all the separate layers we need to create an awesome sunrise in space. The techniques are not specific to Cinema 4D, you should be able to do the very same thing in any other 3D package like 3ds Max or Maya - or even Element 3D from Video Copilot. In this tutorial I will show you how to set up the earth and the sun, animate the camera and then render out separate layers for - Diffuse - Illumination - Object Buffer for the Earth - Object Buffer for the Sun - Clouds layer - City lights In the next part we will take all these layers and composite them inside of Adobe After Effects into a cinematic sunrise in outer space!
