8. The Soyuz 11 crew died after exposure to vacuum during re-entry. Although it was a fault with a valve on the spacecraft, they weren't wearing space suits. The Soyuz didn't have room for 3 crew members and suits at the time. It landed like normal but ground staff just found them dead inside.
9. They took care of that problem with water protection. Like the recent astronaut on space walk, when he got a leak in his pressure suite it filled with water to protect him. Heck, they even added a snorkel so though won't drown in the pool, uhmmmm... I mean space station walk. Didn't they? "Laughs hysterically"

18. It's not absolute vacuum, but close. Nazis conducted experiments like that too, exposing concentration camp captives to depresurasation. A lot of USA experimentation and data on such things was inherited from Nazis.
