i can fully recommend this to everyone who is reallly interested the shuttle landings.

Obviously you have no clue that distance from an object is related to speed perception. When someone runs by you a foot away they appear to be going fast. When the same person is running 100 feet away you dont even have to turn your head to watch them. You're probably a Flat Earth asshole. Amazing. All these computers and technology in 2017 and people are dumber than ever.
-
And with what device did you use to observe it going 16000mph , cause in reality if you blink while lookin at a race car only going 300 km/h you will miss it

A tragedy but also shows us how far we are in ever having safe and near light speed space flight. We have these problems just outside our own planet. Imagine landing in another solar system. Technology is still frail and susceptible to disaster with just 1 small weak link, look @ the O rings in the other disaster for example.

Why the heck do they keep talking as about tire pressure ..That is obviously code for the jet engines they had hidden on that thing ...

RIP

hi excellent vid got a new sub

The NASA station knows what is happening and nothing they can do about it . They know these people are going to die .
-
Nice work for a tragic event. Thanks.

I almost saw both shuttle tragedies as I was stationed in ft hood Texas when this happened but I wasn't outside to see it tho. I did witness challenger however when i was very young tho, we would always watch all launches from our backyard in palm bay

rip :(

not real conversation
no panicking -
that's two Space Shuttle crews lost,we remember when Challenger blew up,don't we,Poor Judy Resnik, she was so pretty

Kind of amazing the shuttle is in pieces for more than a minute with mission control seemingly unaware. Why doesn't the person monitoring orientation chime in and say it tumbled end-over-end before losing all sensor-data? Shuttle must have multiple gyroscopes.

I was watching the coverage on TV. During the reentry phase the TV showed a 3D representation of the shuttle. This video only lasted for some seconds and they switched to a view of the mission control room. Before that animation ended, I noticed the 3D shuttle was yawing left and right... That's about the time the animation ended. Question. Was that 3D representation driven by realtime telemetry from the shuttle? And if not, what was that yawing motion? Or am I misunderstanding the animation itself...?

I remember this like it was yesterday. It was a Saturday morning and I was 50 miles from the explosions. It shook our house and it woke me up. I immediately turned on NASA tv because I knew that was Columbia that blew up. Such a sad day that was
