... also, I eliminated the default launch pad blast steam and added my own to differentiate the SSME blast from the SRB blast effects. I modified the SRBs' fire and smoke contrails, and added new textures for the SSMEs shock diamonds. I used more realistic meshes and textures for the SRBs and ET. Watch "Columbia - The Launch of STS-1" it shows my latest upgrades. Also I applied Pylon to the add-on GEMINI 4.5 LAUNCH UPGRADE and added launch pad blast effect for the Titan II.
-
Unfortunately I used STS Payloads v2.01 which only works with Orbiter 2006P1, since it uses Pylon MFD. The launch pad that you see here is an old one from Slat (LC39-EAFB 2006.3 - Hi-Res). Now I use the meshes and textures from SSU for pad 39A and 39B, which are fully functional with Pylon. I modified the Cape Canaveral base file and added the meshes. I added the sound suppression water. I modified H2 spark igniters that came with STS Payloads and added an extra two.

If you liked this video, then watch: "STS-135 The Final Launch of The Space Shuttle Program." I just uploaded it.
-
I used slat's launch pad at Orbiter Hangar: LC39-EAFB 2006.3 - Hi-Res
-
I made the sounds and modified the scenario file to synchronize the launch sequence
-
cuz, of there's no ummu and cargo for 2010. which makes me MAD
-
Sweet!
-
Like a sleeping Dragon breathing
-
TEach and every shuttle has a soul
-
I love that sound.....It reminds me of the shuttle "Breathing" getting ready for launch/Landing. I always likened that sound to it.
-
That would be a live sound of the Orbiters APU's that are running
-
Half-correct. The chugging is from the orbiter APUs that are started at T-5 minutes. APU start is only done on GLS "GO" and "GO" from the NTD.
