Feel sad looking at the comments they made.. Poor people never made it home..

Ten years to the day..

I've noticed that if a program says BBC, it's very good. Love the BBC.

Soyuz is even older and still works pretty darn well. It's not the age of the shuttle that caused the accident but how myopic NASA was by thinking objects striking the orbiter wouldn't do anything to it.

This is sad... The oldest rig fitted with the state of the art and pilotted by some of the best and brightest young mn the US has ever seen. How could they gamble on old technology like that?

I feels so wierd seem them being interviewed as if everything is normal especially knowing that really happened. Film has an eerie way of capturing moments of time that might never come back.

@4711rock You don't return to earth from a mission that takes centuries to begin with. You build a colony on a suitable planet or keep wandering through space trying to find one.

@24zingo The canadian ex defence minister said the other day to the news that the states are hiding alien technology which would help better green our world and that aliens are friendly and are trying to help because they realize the way the human race is going and thats in the wrong way. one way they are trying to help is with technology apparently he says. He said the states are hiding it somewhere in arizona. his words, not mine.

the closest earth like planet is 2821679910000000miles away 480 light years away so even if we could travel at the speed of light 186,282 miles per second it would take 480 years to reach them if you could manage warp 2 half the time warp, 5 96 warp 10, 48 years so at a speed that is mind boggling 1862820 miles per sec you could leave earth and travel there and there might not even be life on it and it. 42.72 mps is the fastest thing that was man made and it was unmanned. hope for happy ETs
