Space Mountain (WDW) with the lights on POV!
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Take a rare ride on Walt Disney World's Space Mountain with the lights on. You'll travel through the entire ride from pont of view of the front seat. Personally, I like it better with the lights off, but it was great to experience it this way. The video was shot during the American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con XXIX.

This ride is really boring with the lights on tbh

Rode this in 1986 when I was 7 years old and was crying like a baby girl. My little mind wandering in the dark thought we did loop-da-loops and jumped off the track and in mid air landed on the other side of the track. It traumatized me so much that I remembered it into adulthood. Now as an adult the coaster is child's play. Moral of the story - bring your kids to Disneyland at an age that they are old enough to appreciate it and not too young that it may traumatize them.

Ah, my childhood coaster & a POV I've been watching ever since it was uploaded. Finally going back to magic kingdom in December, first time since summer of 2008, nostalgia's gonna hit me like a train.

2006 is my channels last name

Why'd they use their laptop camera to film this?
-
I went on this ride and had a panic attack

I was just looking at this to try to figure out how the people mover fits in to the ride. Can't seem to see it too well, if at all here.

I really overthought this ride it's not even scary

I went on recently and it broke down when I was at the top of the first hill we got to ride with the lights on after about 10 minutes of waiting

Is this ride scary?
-
Are there any parts of the roller coaster that are underground?
-
its scarier with the lights on.... lmfao

When you're in the normal dark POV, you don't see how tightly packed this thing is, it's kind of scary. When I first went on it I was eight, and they had the old cars where I basically sat in my mother's lap. They didn't let you wear glasses on the ride at that time, so mom took mine off. I got so scared I threw up at the end of the ride (sorry Disney workers!) and would not get back on it until Grad Nite 91. Now I like it, but I remember the childhood trauma part well. Looking back, I think the ride ran a little faster back then than it does now.

I think they've changed the track since then because I just went and now when you exit the flashing tube thing in the beginning there's a "car?" that passes right to your left and scares you half to death. I think that's the fast pass one because I don't recall going to that spot any time that I rode Space Mountain... Does anyone who has gone recently know what I'm talking about?
