Hear the new on-ride music recently added to Space Mountain at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in binaural audio! Wear your headphones while watching this video for the full immersive experience. Space Mountain is a nearly pitch-black indoor roller coaster, so most of the ride portion of this video is dark, but you can still hear the new sound effects and music that was added to the attraction. For me they should have made the sound play throughout the inside of the building so that it can sound like you're really in space
-
sounds similar to Space mtn DLR's on ride audio not the same but you can hear a little bit
-
OMG its like ur on the ride with the head phones! i never heard the music just the effects on the actual ride! they realy need to play it louder or put on board audio (speakers on the trains)
-
the part where you're on the lift hill.
-
I am looking for the track music - what plays while riding and not waiting. Anyway, good recording. Also in one part, the music fades a little.
-
At least the Imagineers tried. That's all that matters. WDW's Space Mountain needed an upgrade BADLY.
-
Ugh. If this is the "new and improved" Space Mountain, I'm not impressed. The sound effects sound like something from a cheap child's toy and totally takes away from the atmosphere of the ride. The music is just awful sounding while on the ride itself. It's like a blip on your ears and its gone and has a long drawn out effect. It reminds me much like a siren from an emergency vehicle, annoying.

wow what a ride! just looking at the blank screen makes me wana go even more so bad.....
-
where can I find the sfx where you go down the helix at 2:00 ?
-
I like the music at disneyland It makes the ride better :)
-
@InvaderBethany Well in the ride there wasn't any music but at the entrance and exit there was.
-
@InvaderBethany Because the old stuff was not as cool. BTW there was no music before this.
-
is this ride scary??? like does it drop alot??
-
wasnt it glow in the dark last time?
-
I gotta say, I really like this version of Sapce Mountain compared to what it used to be! It seems faster, more up-beat with the music and sound effects and darker! "If, it's not broken down, don't fix it"??? Well, if you want people coming back, you atleast gotta update a few things! How boring would it be to go on the same thing over and over and over and over and over again?

Disney totally ruined a ride that was good before the refurbishment. I mean like now there is a roof on the boarding area, and they changed the sound of the strobe tunnel and FX-1 lift hill. Now there is no exit music. Next time to be a show off i'm gonna bring an ipod speaker and play the exit music while i'm exiting the ride. Shame on you cheap skate disney. p.s. I am gonna kill who ever decided to demolish Toontown Fair because I've hade fond memories there. :p

@rocketrodlover: The track was NOT replaced AT ALL during the refurbishment. No structural work was performed at all, either. It was all to redo the interior queue, add the video games, and add the on-ride photo system. This on-ride audio came MUCH later after the almost-year-long closure, in August/September of 2010.
