Space Hulk: Deathwing Trailer #2 with new Epic Music & SFX (remastered)
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
This is an edited version of the Space Hulk Deathwing Rise of the Terminators Trailer, because the music of the original sucks and doesn't fit the imagery nor 40k at all. The original is simply horrible. This very video is actually a remastered version of a similar video I've made about a month ago. I've reverse engineered the audio track outside my video editor, because it fucked up almost every sound effect. Furthermore I've bought a new graphics card allowing me to render this without frame drop. I've actually worked on that for the past 10 hours non-stop. I've thus decided to mute the trailer and continued from there. I've replaced the music featured in the original, "Walking with a Ghost" by "Kadebostany", with "Republic" by "Ninja Tracks" and added sound effects from various sources manually. This project took me about 7 hours. Sound effect sources: - Alien vs Predator (video game of 2010) - Appleseed (film of 2004) - Battlefield 4 - Borderlands - BloodRayne 2 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Crysis 2 - Crysis 3 - Diablo II - Lord of Destruction - Dark Messiah: Might & Magic - DooM 3 - DooM (film of 2005) - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - F.E.A.R. - F.E.A.R. 2 - F.E.A.R. 3 - Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (film of 2004) - GoodSoundForYou XileF (https://www.youtube.com/user/GoodSoundForYou) - Grindhouse: Planet Terror (film of 2007) - Halo 2 - Halo 2: Anniversary - Halo 4 - Hollywood Edge - Ironman (film of 2008) - Lost Odyssey - Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - Priest (film of 2011) - Resident Evil 4 - StarCraft - StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm - Terminator: Salvation (film of 2009) - The Matrix (film of 1999) - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Unreal Tournament 2004 - Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Warhammer 40 000: Plastic Wax Space Marine CGI - Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Our Weapons Trailer - Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

This IS the original version. I don't understand what everyone is on about...
-
hey man honestly liked it better great sound effects
-
I liketh original better,it does the job Bett of grabbing one's attention which is what the purpose of a trailer. Does it fit 40k? Maybe crimson fists, not DA. But over all its nice to have that music with 40K it shows a growing interest in the hobby I love. Also, stop being butt hurt about other not liking this version.
-
Ok, firstly, thank you for this alternative intro, you are right the original do 40K no justice. Some sensibility at last.
-
Slow down my dude
you are going full sperg in your own comments -
Not bad editing - some of the timing is off, but overall I like it a great deal more than the original. Also, the music that you chose fits the setting far better than whatever the original ad had, that shit was atrocious. Are you planning to edit anything else in the future? Perhaps creating original content when the game comes out? I'd like to see some more stuff from you.
Also, why are you deleting comments? I get that the YouTube comment section is generally cancer but I've noticed a lot of replies you've made lack the offending post and by association, context. It is, after all, your video, it just seemed odd is all. -
40k isn't GREM DURK METUHL. It's lofty space opera. It's not bad ass.
40k is a Parody of Science Fiction in general. The music of the original trailer is far more befitting of 40k than this generic music. 40k plays its tone straight, not for believable stories but for parody. It uses its characters and factions to portray ridiculous groups in ridiculous settings doing ridiculous things.
Orks: Football Hooligans in space.
Imperial Guard: Starship Troopers turned up to 11 with rambo added for luls.
Tau: Starship Troopers GUNDAM edition.
Eldar: Noncey elves in space.
Dark Eldar: BDSM club of Romulans in space.
Chaos: Maximum idiot hair metal bullshit vikings, in space.
Tyranids: The Alien in space.
Necrons: Egyptian Borg mummies in space.
Space Marines: Genderless Spacemarines so dudebuff mchuge they're not even really human anymore for maximum 12 year old boy power fantasy
Sisters of battle: Dominatrix penitent Nun Convent in space.
Inquisition: Gestapo/Secret Police turned up to 11 for sheer over exaggeration purposes.
Titans: To fight Alien Godzilla, in space.
It can be hard to see that, with all the marketing and lore they've put out recently. I get that. Especially if you're American and under 30, because you probably didn't grow up with things like Red Dwarf and probably didn't get into science fiction through books and probably did grow up with science fiction like Aliens, the Terminator and Star Trek. The former is parodied nebulously in 40k, the latter isn't really parodied outside of the Tau (brainwashed alien empire caste system.)
Look at the root point in 40k that the rest of the story is based on;
The prodigal son feels unloved and neglected by his father, in a fit of depression joins his fathers enemy and sets about to save the world from his father. He fails, destroying his unattainable vision and the good things he agreed with his father on in the process. Turning brother against brother in a conflict that tears his family apart forever.
That plotline is straight out of a Soap Opera. But it's in space. Space Opera.
Pop Music befits 40k. Especially weird pop music. It perfectly encapsulates what 40k aims to be, mass consumed. Whilst also being a little off and weird, as a parody of science fiction marketed as a hair metal album. More over it shakes up the expectations of the viewer by combining genres one doesn't expect to see combined. In 40k this is classical western ideas like the White Savior, Imperialism, fascism and theology with Soap Opera plots and parody. The only more fitting music would be a Spaghetti Western track. -
Thing is, even this sucky stock music is actually better than the original gayzor crap.
-
not bad editing
-
Awesome work dude. Shame to see all these negative comments on a trailer i think is better than the original.
-
The emperor of mankind is pleased with this remastered video and he demands to see you
-
Dude, this is awesome ! you did this all by yourself ? damn u got some talents i suppose
-
Music doesn't fit, meet more METAL
-
Holy fucking shit. Way better than the version with the shitty pop music.
-
better than the original in every way
-
Great work, just to say maybe a good effect for dark Angels swords in future projects would be the Angels lament. It's a low whine that emits from every relic blade the dark Angels used. Not power swords in general however so your sound effect still fits perfectly
-
You are a true servant of the Emperor. MUCH better then the original. Don't mind the slime licking idiots that think techno music or pop should be in 40k, their brains are defective and they lacked oxygen as a child and it delayed their growth.
You should have composed the original trailer my friend. Top notch work. -
Honestly, the new music you added puts the original trailer to shame. This sounds like it would be the actual original trailer.
