Ever wonder if you could make a ship propelled by depressurization? I attempted to make one. ---------------------------What is this game?----------------------------- It's Space Engineers, you can get it here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/244850 -------------------------------------Music---------------------------------------- Background and outro music from Space Engineers' game files. if a depressurization powered ship doesn't work, try a depressurisation powered ORE CANNON
-
The problem is that the depressurasitation effect is fake. It is just hardcoded for items and players.
-
I dont think depressurizing a ship actually creates any thrust in any direction, i just think you've found a weird bug.
-
put doors in group, even if single door will fix white block issue
-
Am I the only person that thought of Conway's game of life when reading the title?
-
That... looks... beautiful...!
-
looks like it could be a weapons platform
-
You could always make this a method to instantly get up to max angular velocity on a ship that is designed to use use its own momentum to propel Warheads and Decoys. Using a Rotor system for that might be a little more reliable though...
-
Maybe bigger doors equal more air releasing? Though you're adding weight still.
-
gives me ideas for air pressure evasive actions

Hey Sage! Wanted to ask if you could try a mega build sometime: a City ship. As in a fully fleshed out city in space. Farms, livig spaces, energy production outside of uranium, small ships for mining and repair, all kinds of things like that. A full city in space. Think that would be pretty cool myself, and I would love to see how you would conquer it.

on the issue of the other craft not moving, is it that the dampers are turned on?
-
if you listen closely, You can hear soviets.
-
How about making the air vents push blocks at the front of the ship that are attached to the ship by pistons?
-
My guess for the spinning is caused by the algorithm they use to detect depressurization likely uses a ploy-fill starting at the air vents. Meaning it is only checking one block at a time, the block that gets detected first is the one that gets the air sucked out of it. Giving it asymmetric "thrust"

Seems more like a jelly fish to me.
-
I'm loving that music in the background
-
Bruh, Square-Cube Law.

Technically volume increases much faster than the metal needed to contain it as you make things larger. I don't think it has anything to do with volume, and has everything to do with the number of openings being made at once.
