The ship is coming along just fine, glad to see it will be soon finish and finally complete. Im a bit concern that the big turrets are still aiming at the base or another device, did by any chance you check that the the ship is part of the faction? If i recall your ship was not part of your faction sort of speak before it was integrate (been long about it so maybe it is ).
Or is the mod itself that is not recognizing factions which means it could shoot its own as well shoot trough itself since its not recognizing objects blocking its targets ( i seen some videos this happening, or perhaps is another mod im confusing it). -
If you plan on landing on a planet, those solar panels will be completely useless and/or destroyed

Maybe call it Daedalus? He was the greek guy that made wings out of feathers and wax to escape with his son Icarus. But he also created the labryinth which was a Ginormous and crazy maze that he barely escaped from himself. Or maybe The notre Dame? Or possibly the Argo? The ship that Jason sailed on his adventure? Bah, those are just my ideas though. Do as you wish with them.

sage I suggest you put power efficiency modules on those refineries there going to be pulling a lot of power when running and it will help conserve uranium

When the ship is finished, it should be called Hephaestus Maximus. Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work!

Just so the solar array isn't damaged you guys should consider having it fold out from the belly of the ship.

I get the same simulation drop/lag near refinerys, oxygen tanks and assemblers when all connected! Ever since the oxygen update ive had lagfest issues at time!

If Aaron did put a few blocks coming off the back and attached it as a spoiler by rotor it could spin 360 as needed to face the sun.

Are you moving to DX11 any time soon?
I would really like fto see your base in DX11 before you leave.
Or are Uncle Stes sloped blocks still not optimized for it? -
What is that medium sized yellow ship back there?

my guess is that the cause of your slow sim speeds is from either something having spawned in the distance or the merger with your ship and the solar array
