I would have assumed the large dust was a bug, since it seemed fine before, but they haven't addressed it (To my knowledge), so it could be a feature.
I dunno, from this video, your hand drill sounded about right, since you're hearing it through your suit with the helmet on.
If you went in a pressurized environment with your helmet on, it'd probably sound roughly the same.
If you want to stop denting your armor, you should probably grind down the 1 steel plate scaffolding to get at the ice. And you seem to have had the same idea. Neat!
Also, when you were trying to get your ship parallel to the ground, couldn't you have used the altimeter/artificial horizon?
About your ship's lack of lights... couldn't you turn your helmet lights on and use them form the cockpit? I swear that was a thing you could to at some point...
Around 26:00, you had trouble placing a block. When you mined the ice, did you see those little bits of inconsequential ice effect? Those are physical objects in the game world. You can move them around and do things with them as you would any other object, though you cannot pick them up and they will disappear after a few seconds. For some reason, they block you from placing things in their space, when they should just be deleted when you try.
Sometimes, though, the block placement is just wonky.
Heh, it might be better to dislike the moon gravity than get used to it.
After spending a few hours on the moon and otherwise in space, I felt so heavy back in 1g. -
