Space Engineers - Breaching Pod with Kinetic Energy Penetrator
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Derived from the Mk.1, the Assault Pod Mk.2 relies on brute force to deliver it's passenger. Instead of grappling arms, it is equipped with a Kinetic Energy Penetrator to punch a hole through armor blocks. It is capable of penetrating up to two layers of heavy armor. No longer works, great engineering when it did though cutting edge pvp right there. Turrets are now super accurate. Maybe this concept will still work if modified with a carpet of separate decoy blocks raining on the target.
-
How many layers of Heavy can it penetrate? Blast Doors?
-
Wait just finished watching, same thing but here's an idea to replace, this with retractable(outward) that creats a mini turrent
-
Idea for new thing, an crash assaulted, made to crash through the ship/base but not too far and you are inside and can get out
-
Simply amazing, that's all I can say about this
-
Instead of delivering a person, how about delivering a bunker buster? Using the kinetic energy penetrator in order to pierce through their initial armor, then slamming in a high powered explosive that was remotely set to automatically go off within like 10 seconds. That way you can do much more damage, and possibly even cripple powerful ships by wiping out important subsystems with ease.

Very nice improvement, because the previous design only work against the flat surface.
This new one can also have some element of surprise on it, just imagine one of these thing nail the enemy right at the command section people. -
Fill the second stage with warheads or poprocks and you've got one hell of a torpedo on your hands.

awsome pod if it is allright could i use these in my cargo area of a ship I am working on
-
A lot better than the last version, nice to see you have improved your design.
-
Nice extension to your previous attempt. How about adding explosives to when the torpedo comes to an halt once the target got penetrated?
