Space Engineers - Assault Drop Pods
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Meet the Assault Pod Mk.1. A one-man assault drop pod with built-in auto-turret countermeasure system. Use it to assault ships and bases or use to it to recover errant ships. It's essentially unguided but the astronaut inside has the ability to make course corrections as necessary from inside. The Codex Astartes calls this manoeuver "Steel Rain"

good. now make a space to planet insertion pod. like the ODST drop pod. but make it so the user has a high chance of surviving planetfall. (PS plz add cameras)
-
Wow. These look like something straight out of a movie.

HI, I'm not a experienced player, but I saw a video of someone who create kinetic energy breaching weapons and after watching this video I wondered if it would be possible to combine them and create a Kinetic Energy Breaching Assault Pod. The video was this (Space Engineers: breach missiles, kinetic testing by w4stedspace). If it worked, it would allow you to punch a hole in ships and fly the assault pod section straight into the ships interior.

Ha know showing us basically the same thing over and over doesn't really help
-
Were those decoy blocks on the ends if so smart and spinning for dodgeing the missiles and bullets
-
How did you make them spin
-
itd be cool if someone inside the drop pod could drill a hole into the space station or ship
-
so the spinning is done to do like a corkscrew move to dodge the defensives or what?
-
if you put a small antena (considering thats a small ship) and a remote control you can guied it to its detination and to put a grinder on the front to destroy the armor blocks full trhusters ahead and then you are in.
Also that is a exelent way to build a nuke simply change the pilot seat for a ton of nukes and then activate them.
Destroying a ship from the inside out is not a bad idea -
i could imagine putting in one of my dalek inspired drone in that thing. the drop pod splits inhalf and the drone walks out
-
Very nice.
-
So they land. then what?
-
This is awesome)
-
this is the last time in 2014 that I will be mind blown!
-
Updating this based on comments and suggestion received. V2 coming up. :-)
-
So pretty... art in motion.
-
I love it! Glad to finally see a viable boarding drone concept.
