Great review dude! Don't know why i haven't found your channel before but I'll be subscribing to see more.

The episode also did a pretty good job giving us a small hint of the series finally. When she mentions that he was the one, they show his body separated throughout the dimensions.
-
best episode of the whole show. best song of the episode was the desert scene
-
what i took from this episode was a spiritual/philosophical message of being very deeply rooted in yourself and acceptance. i recently moved and was feeling down about losing all my friends and family, but seeing this episode helped me change my attitude towards that of acceptance. i'm still me baby and that's beautiful.
-
Agreed. As you can see it's been about 2 weeks since this episode aired and my ass is still not over it lol. The soundtrack was so beautiful as well.
-
Does anybody know the second song the space siren plays when dandy wakes up from the trance she out him under?
-
Le butt butt butt that is all.

Hands down favorite episode yet. After watching Space Dandy season 2, episode 8 over 100 times this week, this is what I think.
Firstly, I think the amazing soundtrack is what makes the visuals seem more than beautiful. It also does an excellent job of tying the dialogue to the emotions that Dandy is feeling through each part of the episode. It seems like each part of the episode is meant to show a different aspect of death. I left this episode feeling like I know what it feels like to be dead. The guitar girl made me feel it the most. Like being put on the side of a pond opposite from everything you ever knew. You can see the other side, but can't communicate. No matter how far you walk around it you can never get back to the other side. Everything on the side of death seems dull and empty. The soundtrack makes me feel like I'm really there.
Secondly, at the end of the episode in the gondola going up, limbo girl looks at Dandy and says "It can't be" "your the one" as she sees first 2 other versions of him then multiple ones. I think this is hinting that Dandy is 1 Dandy existing across multiple dimensions. This would explain why some episodes he dies and some he doesn't, because some episodes are the version of Dandy when he dies and some episodes are the actual storyline. However, if he truly exits across all dimensions then even the episodes where he dies are part of his storyline.
Lastly, I give my thoughts on the ending. They show Meow And QT coming out of the dark nebula. QT and Meow find Dandy lying on the console. Thinking he's just sleeping they leave him lying there. If they weren't such boneheads and pinheads they probably could have saved him. I think this is the main joke of the episode and also the idea that started the whole episode. The idea that Meow and QT are so stupid they would thnk dandy is sleeping when he is really dead. As far as Dandy coming back down in the gondola, I think that since Limbo girl and Dandy are wearing different clothes that it signifies things have changed and/or time has passed. So, either Dandy couldn't turn down a pretty face and just had to go back for her; or they knew they would see each other again when he died and that scene was them reuniting; or in the new dimension Limbo girl sent Dandy to, Meow and QT still let dandy die so then he went to the Planet limbo of that dimension; or Limbo Girl sent Dandy to the adjacent gondola of the other dimension where he is still alive and on planet Limbo and that is why you see him coming down in the gondola instead of showing up in a boat with a cloak, seashell, and black box. This is why I love anime. :) -
he got the choice to be brought back in a different dimension, but decided not to , so she wouldn't have to sacrifice herself/planet to bring him back to life. It's similar to the rick and morty episode where they died in a different dimension but replaced their dead selves. Dandy decided not to let her do that, he decided to stay with her instead of come back to life. Remember his comment "alive or dead, he's still pretty dandy" he accepted his death. And at the end of the episode he's basically getting dressed for an event which looks to be for a wedding which adds more evidence that he will stay with her for most likely an eternity.
But this is not the end of dandy because again their are multiple dimensions with different dandys so in essence he's still alive. -
Does anyone know the name of the song that playes when she starts to send dandy to another dimension?
-
Well when the planet Limbo spirit sent Dandy to a different demention she obviously did it to protect him so i don't think it'd make much sense to sacrifice herself just to have him killed off again, not to mention in anime an eerie shade of blue over a character doesn't really represent death, its usually like when they're in an unconscience state or something as well as the way the episode faded out at the end almost looked like a dream sequence to me. When you think about it, it sort of seems like Dandy is looking for love through out the series like in the last episode the song he sang at the end is literally about him in love with a woman who rejects all his advances towards her, probably referring to Honey, ("Lonely Nights"). Even the opening and opening theme song ("Viva Namida" [meaning Living Tears]) has something to do with him being sad and lonely in a way. Therefore the one chick who actually told him she loved him and gave her life just to save him and have him live again would most likely be something for him to dream about. Don't forget that if hes in a new demention that would mean nobody on that planet Limbo should really know who he is so there would be no reason for them to greet him at the end. Just my thoughts though but to be honest despite everthing that makes it prove he was dreaming at he end, I still think he just died again and went back to see everyone in Limbo. Though the dream theory just makes more sense to me. Through life or death just keep it Dandy baby! ✌😉🌟 ( . )Y( . )

Honestly at the end I think dandy accepted death
-
Might seem weird but when i finished this episode all i did was clap it was too damn awesome spiritual deep poetic funny ALL OF THAT SHIT its gonna be hard if the episodes get like that until season end to classify my top 5 episodes!!!
-
That was just... beautiful.
-
This episode was movie quality. From the music, to the concept, to the animation. Also kinda funny I was watching the credits and music is by Ogre you asshole hehe
-
My interpretation: Dandy does die of a heavy concussion while in his ship as it knocked into the planet, his crew alive still. Though he has died in essence, the girl uses the planet's energy in order to allow him to live as a separate entity in another dimension, as she explained. Dandy is split, and one half will live on in another reality as another self, something none of the residents of this planet were able to achieve. As for the Dandy that stays behind, he has come to terms with his death. Having lost everything, he accepts her feelings because she is the only thing that is real to him at this point. He has perished, and stays together with her for eternity.
