For Spanish viewers, here's a commented version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vEkxFnfzO4 So, after not uploading anything for a while, I decided to upload this. Thanks to Maskaman for the recommendation of this game! I really enjoyed it. Also, thanks to amogirl, for the great TAS run. Sadly, Space Ace for the SNES is considered one of the worst SNES games. Why? Well, it must be because it's 'way too difficult' for some, but I'm not entirely sure. For me, this is a masterpiece, and I mean it. No randomness at all: just memory and skill. This is the kind of game that I love. I hate randomness. The only exception is when it is well designed (that is, no matter the result of random elements, you'll always win if you have the right strategy). Anyway... I'll talk about the game in general. And some very important points as well. -Discs: There are 4 types of discs overall: the red ones, which allow you to practice levels that you have reached once you lose (that is, if you get Game Over on level 8, you'll be able to play up until that level, but not further), the blue ones, which increase the speed of your laser gun, the green ones, which augment your power, and the grey ones, which give you extra lives. For me, the most important are the green ones, for they are the most useful for quickly destroying enemies. -Rating: You only have to consider Ability and Style, really. Ability is gained by destroying enemies, and Style by energizing and not missing too many shots. You can also gain Style by picking discs, but they don't give you that much Style anyway. VERY important: even if you get the same stats as I do, there's still the chance that you won't get the Ace rating. Why? Well, because you're probably shooting too much, without 'resting' your finger. When you do that, the game WON'T count it in the rating screen, but will count it internally. So be very careful with this. It took me long for me to find out, and it was the key for achieving the Ace rating consistently. -True Ending: In order to get the True Ending, you must achieve the Ace rating in absolutely EVERY level. And for that, you must always Energize, and in Space Maze, destroy all 22 green balls. I think Space Maze becomes the hardest level when going for the True Ending. My experience with the game? Really great until I reached the final part of Rocket Skate Maze. I thought that I had to do a super precise jump, but then, after I completed the game and started watching other vids, I realized that it was way simpler. Very frustrating indeed, because thanks to that, I ended up using savestates to practice that jump. Of course, that jump isn't shown in this run, but you can see it in a TAS run of the game, which really helped me. The user is amogirl. -Secret Areas: I was able to find those, but I'm almost certain you can find more. As far as I know, there's no video showing even one of them. Very few people have played this game to the end after all. Anyway, I guess that's it. The game is pretty much about memory, so the video talks a lot by itself. Still, if you have any doubts, just comment it and I'll try to help you ;) . Oh, it's hard to say how many attempts this took, since I used two emulators, and one of them doesn't count the amount of attempts. But I suppose it took between 20 and 30 attempts. DO NOT think it was easy though: keep in mind that I've played it QUITE a lot before going for the No Damage. Well, I hope you enjoyed it :) . I'd really appreciate a comment!
