Finally found his Marine Corps battle cry. I like how his death ties back into the pilot. The first time we saw Wang, was when the Drill Sergeant was yelling at him to show him his battle cry. Now, he gives his life for his friends with a battle cry that will never be forgotten.

Wang the best ever !!! RIP
-
Now that's a Marine Corps battle cry Wang!
-
What an underrated show this was.
-
@Wine Dining "SAAB" nice contraction there he he!
-
A glorious death in battle!
-
Poor marksmanship, poor judgement. A loser's death.

I recently re-watched this. I remember following S:AAB when it was on TV and being absolutely mortified at the age of 11 seeing these loved characters die. Sure it's just TV, but even to this day these guys feel like distant family lol. As a viewer, I was extremely proud of Wang here. Thinking back to his first day in training when his scream was pathetic and the Drill Sergeant was all "In space, no one can hear you scream" - I'm pretty sure Wang's battle cry was heard.
-
hell yeah wang! GET SOME!!!

I vaguely remember the chigs coming from Earth. How did they leave Earth? Were they there before we evolved or something and then they left giving us time to evolve?
-
Oh yeah, you're right, it did 7 seasons. Coulda sworn it did more. Yeah, I agree on Voyager somehow going 7 seasons as well. Yeah, Fox caters to a bunch of idiots.
-
The sheer force from the explosion would of sent wang flying against the bulkhead crushing every bone in his body...he's dead. heh
-
That Chig pilot sucked...couldn't hit a floating box and got taken out himself. lol
-
Pretty much everything you said. It was a huge twist to find out that our own leadership knew this whole time despite the warnings to stay away AND the fact that the Chigs came from Earth...huge twist for a first season if you ask me. Usually takes a show a couple of seasons to really warm up. S:AAB never got a chance to really explore what it could do.
-
TNG went exactly 7 seasons. =p , original was planned for 5 but went for 3, DS9 went 7, Voyager somehow went 7, and Enterprise went 4 and was cancelled in favor of a gay ass Brittany spears reality show that no one gave 2 shits about and was also cancelled. Grats Fox Network- you suck.
-
I think TNG went more than 7 seasons.
-
The Chigs originated from Earth or are you talking about the upper leadership of Earth knowing that one of our colonies was already an alien colony?
-
I know your comment is old but BSG was NOT a kids show compared to Space. Space was all about combat and a little conspiracy. You had issues of race, love, politics, combat, drama, history and more with BSG.
-
SAAB had a twist aswell, the enemy originated from Earth aswell and you find all this out this very episode...and the story for SAAB was original in its time.
-
If BSG came out in the mid 90's I don't think it would of done as well as it had done when it came out in the mid 2000's. S:AAB came out to soon if you ask me and it did have a couple lame episodes like that top gun one...I hated that...but it had goo ones aswell like"The Angriest Angel" for example. A lot of hows dont start out that great, Star Trek TNG and DS9 for example....first two seasons sucked and sucked badly...but they both went 7 seasons.Voyager went 7 seasons...somehow.
